Downtown Tucson - building was a bit less "neon" - but I liked the look of the pushed contrast better than the actual shot.

In my most recent youtube episode, I complained at length about the non-stop rain that I ran into on my recent trip to Senja in Northern Norway. There were many days in a row when I would look out the window of my Airbnb and then look at the forecast and seriously consider just watching Netflix and giving up on any kind of a photo while I was there. But I knew from experience that all you really need is 2 minutes of light to go from something drab and horrible to something amazing. So… I loaded up the car and set off in the pouring rain for my FIFTH attempt at finding a break in the clouds at Tungenesset. It was coming down in buckets on the way there and it came down even harder as I parked. I grew frustrated as squall after squall blew in with only about 5 minutes between…just enough time to get the tripod set up…and then take it down. After an hour or so of this, I just covered the camera, hunched down in the rain, and just waited it out. As one of the final squalls finished blowing over, the sky suddenly erupted in the West as the sun found a small crack and lit the sky on fire. As rain was still continuing to fall, it was a challenge to keep the rain off of the lens, but I kept wiping and shooting for the few brief moments that the sun was able to break through. All too soon, the sun disappeared, the wind picked up, and it was time to call it a day.
I left the one individual in the shot as I felt he was staring in awe at the sky, and for some reason, the James Taylor title seemed to work here.

THE ROMANTIC STORY
Once upon a time, a young chocolatier named Luisa Spagnoli fell in love with Giovanni Buitoni, a founder of the Perugina chocolate company, and he with her. The only cloud in the match made in chocolate heaven? Luisa's husband was the other founder.
According to sweet legend, Luisa wrapped romantic notes around the chocolates that she sent to Giovanni for his inspection. Inspired by their secret love, she began to make her bite-sized chocolates as delectable as her messages: silky, dark-chocolate exterior enveloping gianduja, a whipped chocolate filling blended with finely-chopped hazelnuts, and all finished with a whole hazelnut crown.
Nearly 100 years later, Perugina continues the tradition of Luisa's Baci (Italian for "kisses"), love notes and all, in addition to an extensive selection of other high-quality chocolate confections. The company remains located just outside of Perugia, a hilltop town in central Italy, where the two star-cross'd lovers first met.

Today's photo tour sends us to Disney Springs on a beautiful day. There is nothing better then taking a photo and getting some really nice water reflections. What I really lover about this shot is that, by using a wide angle lens, I was able to capture a lot of the area and most of the restaurants to make the picture more interesting. I was also pleased to have captured the Characters In Flight Balloon, which was an added plus to tie the image altogether. Is your "go-to" lens for landscape photography a wide angle lens? Have a magical weekend!

El domingo por la mañana decidimos pasear por el desfiladero que, desde Albarracin, conduce a los Pinares de Rodeno. A pesar de la plomiza luz que tuvimos, los otoñales colores del campo lucían con una magna pictórica belleza.

On Sunday morning we decided to walk through the gorge that from Albarracin (Teruel, Aragón, Spain), leads to Rodeno Pinewoods Natural Park. Despite the flat gray light we had, the autumnal country colors shined with a pictorial beauty.
