Hinter diesem Wasserfall kann man entlang gehen und auf die seit 1,5 Wochen strahlende Sonne schauen.

It was very windy and the water didnt know weather to go up or down.

Just 500m away from Gljúfurárfoss. In fact you will see Seljalandsfoss first.

Seljalandsfoss, near Eyjafjallajökull in Southern Iceland along Route 1, the road that rings the island. Getting this shot required goat like footing to climb up the cliff to this perch. These falls remind me of Bridal Veil Falls in Yosemite.

Wir hatten ja keine Ahnung...

Foss = falls. Waterfalls form all over the island from glacial runoff.

Seljalandsfoss, South Iceland February 1983

On our last day in Iceland we did the South Coast Tour ... heading south towards Vik, the southernmost town on the island ... passing through a very different part of Iceland.

From Reynisfjara we headed back towards Reykjavik, making a couple of stops en route, one of those being the waterfall known as Seljalandsfoss.

One of the many falls we visited. This kicked up significant spray at the bottom; you can tell by the water droplets on the lens. If I'm feeling adventurous one day, I'll see if I can clone them out.

Seljalandsfoss

Het laatste doel van vandaag en eigenlijk van de hele reis. Seljalandsfoss. Samen met Skógafoss de reden dat ik alles heb doorstaan vandaag. Een van mijn favoriete plekjes in IJsland.
