Google "Iceland waterfall" and Seljalandsfoss will pop up more than any other waterfall.
But if you're lucky enough to ever visit this amazing place, be sure to follow the footpath north to find a hidden gem that's not so easy to find with Google.
O yes, waterproof shoes and clothing are a must.
Beginning of March 2020 I spent 10m days with a few friends in Iceland. Seljalandsfoss, was our stop after Reykjavick. This waterfalls is 8m meter tall, normally you can hike and go behind this waterfalls, but the day we went it's too icy to hike to it. So I roam around a found a few more smaller waterfalls.
On our last, and what would become our longest single-day journey in Iceland starting before sunrise on Black Sand Beach and ending in the early following-morning hours on an erupting volcano, we stopped for photos and a good soaking here at Seljalandsfoss, a 60 meter (200 feet) waterfall situated on the south coast. Seljalandsfoss is on the river Seljalandsá (or Seljalands River), which begins under the Eyjafjallajökull glacier. These sheer cliffs were notably once the South Iceland coastline, although the shore has now settled in the distance across a long stretch of lowlands, miles away. Incidentally, the volcano beneath the glacier Eyjafjallajökull where these waters began, was responsible for the infamous eruption that razed havoc for cross-Atlantic air-travel in 2010.

A huge waterfall you can walk behind! Brilliant fun!
The little white dots on the cliffs are sea birds nesting..

Returning to previously visited locations when the weather improved was a real treat indeed.
The Ring Road (Route 1) goes around the outskirts of Iceland and offers an amazing amount of versatility and beauty in it's landscapes.
This is Seljalandsfoss. It is 200 feet high and an incredible sight to behold. The wind blew the water to the back, front and sides of the waterfall which formed some intense ice formations.
From Wikipedia:
Seljalandsfoss is one of the most famous waterfalls of Iceland. It was a waypoint during the first leg of The Amazing Race 6.
