I'm still here.
It's a brand new week and I like that. My summer went good so far. I went up north to my cousins cabin and I loved it! The state fair just needed too. I went there twice. I love the fair!
The term white noise, the `sh' noise produced by a signal containing all audible frequencies of vibration, is sometimes used as slang (or a Neologism) to describe a meaningless commotion or chatter that masks or obliterates underlying information.
The information itself may have characteristics that achieve this effect without the need to introducing a masking layer.
Selfpotrait taken with a remote. Not in a studio, but in front of my closet, using a black sheet over it :)
I accidently broke the fan after taking this shot. Gravity just took over and it fell off the little table and crashed onto the floor. I saw it fall in slow motion and everything but there was nothing I could do!
Mum thinks she can buy a new propellor for it so that's good. I still feel bad about it though.
This wasn't what I was planning at all, but it really made me laugh! With the weather being miserable yet again, I decided I would like a macro shot of my own eye! How difficult could that be? First, I have to be at the other side of the camera, so I need my cable release... but then, how do I know if I've focused in the right place? Ah, hah.. I know... use live view, and place a mirror behind the camera, to monitor live view via the mirror (not straightforward without my glasses on, but I can just see enough!)! Balance camera on sturdy book (I knew the Oxford Style Manual would be useful for something!), chin on table.. focus camera, keep eye still, hit cable release... hey presto! An image of my eye... but also showing my entire set up, and including myself in the mirror!!! Lol... What a great mirror the eye is! Here you can see: my camera, the book it's on, the mirror (complete with my reflection in it, and also a reflection of a window in the room), the top of the patio doors, the beams of the roof, and even the orange light shades on the wall!
Frozen Out
A self portrait I took in 2011 for my uni exhibition I'm going through my computer cleaning up and backing up 1000s of photos and realised I never posted this publicly. I still love it 2 years later.
Happy bonfire night people, hope your all taking good fireworks photos for me while I'm stuck inside editing new photos and prop crafting for a fashion shoot tomorrow.

Self Potrait #1...I hope I make it through the year. This project seems like a very interesting idea (take a self potrait every day for 365 days to see how you change in a year).
One week down 51 to go. Wanted to do somehing more creative but still incorperate some drops so here it is.
Strobist: f6.3 at 1/60th canon 430ex II at 1/8 power through an umbrella in the fridge. 420ex at full power with a piece of Rosco 83 on a stand bounced off the wall behind the camera.
Fair amount of photoshop and a NIk Color Efx pro and Viveza 2
Square crop is an homage to Brook Shaden who taught memany of the techniques that were used to create this.
Been a while since I've done a self portrait.
Manually focused, set to a 10sec timer (just hopped in front of the camera and said a lil please be in focus prayer haha)
Yes, I could use other means, but that would take the fun of it away for me.

Well I woke up this morning
On the wrong side of the bed
And how I got to thinkin'
About all those things you said
About ordinary people
And how they make you sick
And if callin' names kicks back on you
Then I hope this does the trick
Cause I'm a sick of your complainin'
About how many bills
And I'm sick of all your bitchin'
Bout your poodles and your pills
And I just can't see no humour
About your way of life
And I think I can do more for you
With this here fork and knife
Chorus:
Eat the Rich: there's only one thing they're good for
Eat the Rich: take one bite now - come back for more
Eat the Rich: I gotta get this off my chest
Eat the Rich: take one bite now, spit out the rest
So I called up my head shrinker
And I told him what I'd done
Said you'd best go on a diet
Yeah I hope you have some fun
And a don't go burst a bubble
On the rich folks who get rude
ÔCause you won't get in no trouble
When you eats that kinda food
Now their smokin' up the junk bonds
And then they go get stiff
And they're dancin' in the yacht club
With Muff and Uncle Biff
But there's one good thing that happens
When you toss your pearls to swine
Their attitudes may taste like shit
But go real good with wine
Chorus
Wake up kid, it's half past your youth
Ain't nothin' really changes but the date
You a grand slammer, but you no Babe Ruth
You gotta learn how to relate
Or you'll be swingin' from the pearly gate
Now you got all the answers, low and behold
You got the right key baby but the wrong key ho, yo
Believe in all the good things
That money just can't buy
Then you won't get no belly ache
From eatin' humble pie
I believe in rags to riches
Your inheritence won't last
So take your Grey Poupon my friend
And shove it up your ass!
Chorus
Eat the Rich: there's only one thing they're good for
Eat the Rich: take one bite now - come back for more
Eat the Rich: don't stop me now I'm goin' crazy
Eat the Rich: that's my idea of a good time baby

eat the rich
And if tonight my soul may find her peace
in sleep, and sink in good oblivion,
and in the morning wake like a new-opened flower
then I have been dipped again in God, and new-created.

portrait of hester sparrow
hester sparrow hates her teeth
the gap between the top two
cruddy molar, cracked crown
loathes her long breasts
lead anchors smooshed in cups
with straps that cut grooves
in her shoulder bones.
hester doesn’t like the sea
much anymore
the way it zings her hair
and pecks her skin.
from a deck chair
she cracks pistachios
holds the nuts out
to a titmouse
eats what he misses
piles the shells between her legs
red dye inking her thigh.
hester likes the birds
the gulls and terns that scream
against the low sun
small birds that chatter
just before sunup
crows and even pigeons
envies them their wings
collects loose feathers
in a jar on the kitchen sill.
after dinner each night
as she scrapes the scraps
of meat and bits of corn
from her plate and
captain john’s
into the sink
she looks at the jar
out the window beyond it
dreams of steady ground
where nothing swells
and the only splashes
come from a bird bath.
maybe the desert.
maybe Indiana.

“Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick.”
by Gwyneth Paltrow
Last weekend i did a little (well actually fairly big) spring clean and i found lots of old things i have been hiding in bags and just forgot in old corners. This red hat was one the things, just couldn't resist doing a quick shot. :)
Although it is not a specific fear, it is one of my fears which I am including under the large umbrella of 'social phobias'.
Honestly, I was just playing around with shutter speed and seeing what I could do with it, and this is what came out and I thought it fat my project.
The best thing about today was my shoes! LOL. Not true really.
Missed pilates (again) - tick ...boo
Busy day. (dur .,... always)
Meeting - tick.
Photography for work - tick.
Nice shoes - hopefully ... LOL ....

Il tuo viso lo so già
l'ho visto dentro la mia testa
il vestito non lo so
per me puoi anche farne senza
Spesso lo sguardo ha fame
può saziare l'appetito
ma l'amor carnale
non consuma tutti i sì
La tua bellezza sale
fino in fondo all'anima
solo ad immaginare
la tua mano cosa fa
Ora vedi sono qui
buggerato dalla mia baldanza
forse è meglio così
esser preda della tua incoerenza
Spesso lo sguardo ha fame
può saziare l'appetito
ma l'amor carnale
non consuma tutti i sì
La tua bellezza sale
fino in fondo all'anima
solo ad immaginare
la tua mano cosa fa
[cosa fa, cosa fa, cosa fa, cosa fa]
. . . . . .
Spesso lo sguardo ha fame
può saziare l'appetito
ma l'amor carnale
non consuma tutti i sì
Solo per distrazione
ho accettato questo invito
bella conclusione
stare qui con il tuo amico
oh oh oh oh ohoo
oh oh oh oh oh ohoo...

l'amor carnale
I was totally screwed for ideas tonight, I just couldn't seem to find all the nuts and bolts to ply an idea together. No matter what I came up with it just never seemed to fit.
365: This is my day, over tired and under enthuesed about doing my self portrait. No motivation or creativity. So this is what we get :/
BTW Anyone have any grease? This is kinda tight, and I can't seem to get a good handle on the situation!
