I paid attention all day and didn't find anything for the prompt - no love anywhere! I was all ready to set something up after I finished cleaning out the last of my old files. At the last minute I found this poem in the last file, a poem I've been looking for all year! Couldn't find it online, couldn't remember the poets name - and there it was. I'd been looking for it because reading it the first time felt like a burst of love. And it felt that way again today.

The essence of the numbers and charts of calculations makes me wonder about the significance of things... time running out! The importance of cherishing every moment! The importance of gratitude and self-appreciation!
Oh, how wonderful it would be to accept oneself fully! To love and appreciate the beauty that is "me"! My uniqueness, my contribution to earth and others!
Is it not enough just to "be me" or just to "be"?
Today, I set out with my plastic bag to perform a "trash pick up" hike at Ramapo Reservation in Mahwah NJ. Earlier this week, I saw another hiker doing it, and I was already inspired by a video I saw on Facebook about plogging , so I knew I needed to do it myself. It occurred to me, so many times, we all just look at the trash in the woods, and shake our heads in shame, but we don't ever pick it up. Well, some people do- and what an incredible thing it is to actually do! To care about the environment in such a way, that you take responsibility for making the surroundings a better place, for everyone. How amazing would it be if more people did this? I have already seen a big difference at the Reservation.

So much fun adventuring down in Moab last week with @danceswithpenguins_ , @theplayfulwarrior, @lux_seattleacro, @theacrodragon, @chelleslacks. Thanks Michelle for hosting us and showing us so many cool places. My hope is to process and distill the experience down and share some of my thoughts about what i learned in an upcoming post.
