My Mom is my best friend. She is kind, funny, charismatic and generous beyond belief, putting her children and others before herself. She is selfless and is always lending a helping hand, even if it means putting her own plans on hold - even if my sister and I say, "You should take some time for yourself, because you really deserve it."
My Mom is one of the strongest and most resilient people I know. She has been through so much emotionally over the last few years, especially in the last six with the deaths of various family members on her side of the family. It began five years ago with a string of deaths, all within mere months of each other. It seemed that we would just be getting over one burial and moving on to the next. After a while, things seemed to go back to normal, up until almost a year ago when history seemed to repeat itself. This will be the first Mother's Day that my Mom will not get to spend with her Mom, my Grandma.
No matter what has come her way, and no matter how challenging and emotionally taxing, my Mom has always found a way to prevail and come out on the other side stronger than ever.
With the help of our Dad, my Mom has raised my younger sister (right) and I to be our best, encouraging us to reach for our dreams and go far beyond people's expectations. They have both taught us the value of being hard workers and good people. My Mom is the kind of Mom and woman I aspire to be one day; she is my hero and I love her more than words can say.
It would mean a lot for her to win one of these prizes for Mother's Day because she absolutely rocks :)

This organisation of selfless and fearless volunteers was mooted to help during disasters and large scale humanitarian projects.

Healing Hands Foundation conducted free health checkup drive at Dr. Ambedkar Vasahat, Aundh Gaon, Pune. The camp was organised in collaboration with Anand Kamble Charitable Trust Aundh.
Upa-Mahapaur Sunitatai Wadekar started the drive by felicitating the HHF team.
On behalf of Healing Hands Foundation, PUNE, Smita Zade examined the patients and gave guidance about a healthy diet. Ashana Tamboli counseled them and helped them with free medicines. Anand Misal and Santosh Kamble helped with the setup. Camp organiser Anita Said organised the camp under the guidance of Dr. Ashwin Porwal(Founder-President, HHF), Dr. Snehal Porwal (Founder-Secretary, HHF), and Madhura Bhate(NGO coordinator, HHF).
Total 76 patients benefitted through the drive.

Revered Swami Sarvalokanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi delivered an inspiring talk on "Bharatiya Bhava on Seva: Understanding the Roots of Selfless Service" at a seminar organised by 'Students for Service' in association with C20 (a partner of the G20 movement) at the Conference Hall, Delhi University (North Campus), June 9, 2023.
The Mahavatar Babaji celebration started with evening prayers, which was then followed by abhishekam and Guruji's satsang.
Mahavatar Babaji day commemorates the selfless service this mystical yogi gives to all mankind, and his promise to continue this service on the planet until all are awakened. He gives continually to all of humanity, however, Guruji reminded us all during His satsang that we should do our part and strive to awaken from the deep sleep state we have carried with us for countless lives. (The saints are never in a state of sleeping, regardless of how they might look on the outside.)
Guruji continued by saying that when the satguru comes into one's life, he breaks the conditioning of the mind where we think the outside relationships are real. The outside is just a formality. What matters is the true, sincere, burning of the heart for God, just like Mirabai had, for example.
The role of the satguru is to unlock the way of love. He reveals himself through that Prem and infuses one with that grace and gives himself to the bhakta. It is only through Prem, that ultimate love, that one can enter the domain of Sri Hari. Guruji reminded us to live our lives as if God is present every day with us (because He is)!

Two students and their school were awarded $1000 each in scholarship money, as both were selected for their academics, selfless service, and artistic ability. Nohemi Diaz, a 4th grade student at Lincoln Charter School, and Michaelina O'rourke, a Upper School student at York Academy were presented with the award by CFO Godwin Nwoga, from the Philadelphia office of the When In Need Foundation, along with Kayode Malomo from York, and is Director of Partnerships for When In The Need Foundation, and Malomsy Art. This award recognizes an individual who has selflessly improved the lives of others either in the College of Engineering or within the greater community.
Possible criteria include an individual who:
- Demonstrates exceptional service to the college and/or community at large (e.g. voluntary participation in community groups, boards, or charitable organizations)
- Goes above and beyond in their work in order to help others and does so with a high degree of excellence, professionalism, and integrity; thus, contributing significantly to improving the overall College of Engineering environment and experience

Joint Force Headquarters-National Capital Region and the U.S. Army Military District of Washington Commanding General Maj. Gen. Bradley A. Becker and Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Commander Col. Yesterday I visited a village school founded by FIVDB and DFID UK. After founding the school the founder stop funding. But the school didn't stop educating children. Teachers of this school still teaching soulfully without getting paid. They are so selfless. The head teacher of the school said and I translate " Our aim is to build a nation without illiteracy no matter what obstacles we have ahead."

How extraordinary is it to have received the great wisdom of the Sri Guru Gita from the satguru himself? For 14 precious days, satguru Paramahamsa Vishwananda graced the world online and physically with a commentary explaining on how rare it is to meet a satguru.
Paramahamsa Vishwananda gave his precious time explaining each verse that Lord Shiva had spoken to Devi Parvati after she had asked the question on the nature and purpose of the satguru in order to uplift mankind. He explained the importance of being humble, sincere and simple on the path towards loving God. This was indeed a unique and rare opportunity that Paramahamsa Vishwananda has given the whole world. An opportunity, yet again, to transform ourselves into selfless beings who just love for the sake of loving just as the satguru does in all his humility.
