I can tell it's winter when I took this because I have my favorite, well worn cardigan on. For my self-portraits, I shoot with my right eye, although normally I use my left because it's my dominant eye. If I did it with the left, you wouldn't see my face (which some say would be a blessing).

Taken in one of the windows of my home. I really enjoy how this looks and how colorful and clear it is for a window, it's almost mirror like. I feel like my taste, art, and perception are changing. I hope anyone viewing my photography enjoys my new various work yet to come! Working hard!

That's bobbies...not, ahem, boobies.
This shot is marking time and place. I imagine my son looking at this decades down the road and laughing at how dated all of this looks. Though I hope the bobbies never lose those hats.

So I have been tagged by Tigereon www.flickr.com/photos/45958316@N04/4399891746/ and I am to come up with 10 facts about me that no one knows... OK, here it goes:
1) I hate movies... they make me cry or laugh, feel miserable or overly joyful.. I live the life of the actors/actresses even if they are cartoons. So unless you bring 2 HUGE boxes of Kleenexes, don't even think of taking me to the movies.
2) I have the same problem with fiction books as I do with movies... so get those Kleenexes ready or just get me some boring non-fiction/non-personal stuff... like get me a math or astronomy book and I am just a happy camper in the corner.
3) Favorite movie (before I refused to enter theaters): Land Before Time... did I cry my head off? Yes. Was I kicked out of the theater? Yes, by none others than my two sons, then ages 3 and 5... I brought them shame...
4) I am bad luck in sporting events. The team whose side I am on will loose, guaranteed! I was not allowed to attend my kids' sport games--this was a problem when I had to volunteer in the snack bar... they did not accept my excuse. So when I volunteered, I was not allowed to turn an eye toward the field (baseball and basketball).
5) Favorite books: Life of Pi by Yann Martel (yep, I cried), Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand (nope, I did not cry! But then I am an economist... so no need to!), and Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions by Edwin Abbott (no, I don't have emotions toward mathematical dimension--yet).
6) Favorite author: Plato
7) If I could have a cup of coffee with anyone, who would that be? Einstein, Newton, Aristotle, and Plato (my hubby doesn't drink coffee!)
8) I probably hold the world record of the number of different types of jobs I had so far in my life. I went from Gobelin (French needle point painting on a special fabric) painter to regular painter to potter to stone sculptor to sales person in stores to sales person on the streets to technical illustrator to advertisement agency drawing artist to systems engineer to buyer to director to vice president to university professor of economics and now a photographer. I have owned several companies--currently Stanton Photo Studios.
9) I lived in 4.5 countries (4 with family and 0.5 alone for academic business for a short time) and a number of cities with the most favorite city being Anaheim Hills, where I live now.
10) In the 1994 Northridge Earthquake (in California) I lost my house and everything (including art) in it... and I still live in California and plan to stay here in spite of the eminent danger of earthquakes!
