In 200 words or less, the photo statement should include a description of how the photo reflects a significant aspect of student's study abroad experience. Studying abroad often allows for states of confusion. States of confusion often create the opportunity for self-reflection. Self-reflection allows for self-growth. Through self-growth, one has the ability to share their abilities, knowledge, and experiences with others. Through this act of sharing, a sense of community can be formed. This is a staple of the Benedictine Values, which is a substantial part of the life within the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University communities. Therefore, study abroad, and strive for confusion.
