My second photo collage. I created it for Amy Burvall's Google+ Community, LearningListeningLoving. The collage is an artefact that helps us make our reflection visible (accountable).

We do an exercise in our program that involves the young women decorating envelopes and then writing notes of appreciation for everyone in the group. Given a manila envelope and some neato and basic-colored paint pens, this is what I came up with in about 15 minutes.

 

The front features a pretty calligraphic E and I was just taken with swirls that day. I wanted to infuse myself with color and movement. Orange is a color I wear when I am feeling courageous and daring. Grounded with the green and then surrounded by the thoughtful and spiritual swirls of blue, there is an inspirational or other-worldly whorl of yellow that is beginning to break through my spiritual blue swirl layer.

These 3 girls are so bored and lonely they can camwhore all day long.

story: Really was trying to make a crazy caricature of myself, but it didn’t look anything like me, then I found a reference pic and added some patience into the mix.

Oh shit. my window is not so clean!!

This metal bars and the pattern they create is exemplifying a graphic vector because stationary elements are guiding our attention to her single eye. Her expression and focus in on the sad looking eye keeps with the theme of self-reflection and our bodies plagued with sadness.
