Just me and all the mirror in the bathroom

Self portrait at Ruby beach during blue hour.

This is a test shot for an idea I hope to fully realize in the near future

We went to a downtown restaurant and there was a mirror building across the street. I couldn't resist.

Final Project: Triptych

Self Reflection:

In my opinion, I feel like I put a good amount of time and effort into this triptych and conveyed the message of my love for the sport in th fact that its relaxing for me and I spend a good amount of time everyday just juggling the ball at home. I spent a few days of shooting trying to get the right angle and position of the ball in my shots. I used a variety of techniques such as worms-eye view and used depth of field to have the soccer ball as the main point of focus in all 3 shots and accentuate its importance. In terms of editing, I decided to make this picture in black and white and allowed for there to be a high contrast in color from black to white. This was a challenging experience, and I feel like I learned a lot from it because I had to use techniques that I wasn't very adept at. All in all, it was a rewarding experience.

Lakaï Dance Theatre presented The Block: An Afro-Musical as part of the 2019–20 MIT Performing series. In The Block, the street becomes a stage for self-reflection on toxic masculinity, racial profiling, mental health, and violence, all as a means of community improvement. Through hip-hop and Afro-Diasporic movement styles, the performers challenge stigmas on black and brown vulnerability and the difficulties of asking for help. Developed from individual narratives of the director and performers, the script shares personal stories of hardships and triumphs experienced in a tough and violent yet ultimately creative and resilient urban community.

If ever there's time for self-reflection, it's a birthday. It’s a time to acknowledge your

birth—your very existence. And then, for some, it's an opportunity to celebrate a

self-inflicted rebirth. 60 years ago Xavier Prou, a boy who would later go on to study

at one of the finest French art schools, Ecole de Beaux-Arts, hit the planet. 30 years

ago, stenciling life-size figures on the streets of Paris and leaving running rodents

across city walls, Blek le Rat was born.

Self-Reflection

"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately ..." Henry David Thoreau was a major American philosopher and lived this wish. Thoreau meant to cultivate his mind and communicate directly with nature by living in a cabin near Walden pond. He is our country's early environmentalist. We may not choose a cabin, but we might take a cue from his lifestyle by ridding ourselves of unnecessary belongings and mental baggage. Asian philosophy also speaks of improving our health by encouraging simplicity as well as fostering meditation, perhaps by a small pool or rock garden. You might revise your own environment by adopting some of these ideas.

Will you examine your reflections?

Testing out a new lens today and ran across this mirror and couldn't resist.

Materials: 2 mirrors, cut paper, silver tape.

Dimensions: ~4x6 in.

Photo documentation does not represent this work's reflectivity. Upon approaching the glass, viewers see themselves reflected within the work.

Photographed my boyfriend's eye using my macro rings on a standard kit lens (18-55mm) - I am reflected in his eye for a self reflection brief.

This is me at a scenic turnout on Skyline Drive in Virginia in Shenandoah National Park. I look irritated for some odd reason, but I was really peaceful at this moment. I guess i just look peacefully pissed. LOL
