If ever there's time for self-reflection, it's a birthday. It’s a time to acknowledge your
birth—your very existence. And then, for some, it's an opportunity to celebrate a
self-inflicted rebirth. 60 years ago Xavier Prou, a boy who would later go on to study
at one of the finest French art schools, Ecole de Beaux-Arts, hit the planet. 30 years
ago, stenciling life-size figures on the streets of Paris and leaving running rodents
across city walls, Blek le Rat was born.

This isn't one of my better photos, but there was something about that tree branch and reflection that I just had to capture. The simple branch and reflection was so Zen. Taken in Umstead Park while hiking with Kamphora.

Day 157/365
So I have one official day left of school. yay...finally. so so so bittersweet because i have to say goodbye to everybody but oh well we need to take different paths. anyway im tired so see ya.
Women need real moments of solitude and self-reflection to balance out how much of ourselves we give away.

Today let's fall in love with the woman in the mirror, the one you see everyday but seldom truly look at, the one who gives more than she ever takes, today let's take nothing, not this day, not this moment, not this chance, not even ourselves, for granted, let's first love who we are.
Snapshot of the day, 17th October 2008. I'm surprised at how well this bitch and I (her pup beside her, but not visible in this shot) blend in with each other, since I consider myself more of a cat person: dogs are too much of an obligation.
