Selenium Toned, Silver Gelatin Print, 1995
I took this picture with a Holga plastic camera in 1995 on my first trip to Italy.
This is not a scan of the negative but rather a picture of a framed print, so the quality is not fantastic, but that's how the finished work looked.

It's been awhile since I've uploaded an anything; been working with color film and cross processing lately. These negatives are from 2011 and printed in early 2012. The paper is Agfa Portiga-Rapid PRW123 (soft, chamois matte surface) c. 1960. Developed in Moersch SE5 Lith and toned in Selenium.
Saw these discs drying in the sun as I descended Arunachala. I assumed they were to be used for fuel, and I saw a funeral pyre fueled by them in another Flickr photo. Because the rocks reminded me of whales, I used a selenium tint to give the feel of ocean, somewhat.
A nifty little Yashica EZ-matic that takes 126 cartridges. I just need to get a few and then I can reload them with 35mm film.

It’s like every friggin day now, “6 do this, 6 do that, 6 get me a, 6 go for a, 6 6 6 6 ahhhh, they are drivin me nuts. So of all days the Spectrum Separator Selenium Drive (SSSD) decides to color shift into spectral symbiosis, well who gets the call to check it out…6 why of course. I hate going down into the bowels of the (SSSD) but once again I have to figure out the problem and this time it looks like the pOla-biO and it’s rOidalator have finally shifted into electromagnetic equilibrium…We are so about to be “TOAST” as pure Crayola Melt Down (CMD) is inevitable…”so much for bossin old 6 around ever again, ha”
land and sky stretch until they seem to meet. This is a country scene near Mangoplah, New South Wales (thanks Ian). I dipped into the archives for this, which I thought would look good in B&W. The deep blue sky benefitted from yellow filtration (red was too extreme) followed by selenium toning in SilverEfex.
