I really liked her expression here, but my first edits weren't yielding good results. I went back and re-did it and tried the selenium preset with lightroom. Getting the tones just, right was my original problem.
Experimented with a filter to give a sense of coldness to the shot. Not sure if it worked out as intended.
The selenium light meter on this camera doesn't work so I'm very pleased to see that something came out on the film. First test roll.

reworked old print selenium toned to give that old feel but showed large amount of litter. Pauline Lewis suggested that I should clone the litter out in Photoshop.Thanks for your suggestion new improved image to view.
This is my first "digital" attempt at Selenium toning. The image on the left is using a curve that someone created from a sampling a scanned Selenium photograph. The right is one using a Selenium gradient mapping (not sure how that was created). I haven't determined yet if I like either image or if they need more work. If anyone is interested, I can post the details.

The photo was taken using an M.Zuiko 9-18mm wide-angle zoomlens. Black & white processing (with selenium toning) in Lightroom and Nik's Silver Efex Pro.

This is a quad tone conversion of a color photograph. (analog film) I often have problem printing B&W photos with my inkjet printer (Canon Pixsma ip5000) due to the fact that the black ink can only print 256 shades of gray. I followed this guide: www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/duotone.shtml The photo isn´t pure B&W now, but prints beautifully.

Back in the day when I used to print my photos, selenium tone was my favorite. I love the blue-ish purple hue that is created. Here's a shot at trying to replicate it in the digital darkroom of Photoshop CS2.

I don't have a large enough scanner to accommodate a 11x14 print, so I just photographed it with my DSLR. When I'm able to, I will scan a better image.
