I still have some of these left to process. I could have stayed out here all day with just the dog and the snow-covered trees for company. The only problem here is that Holcombe Lane is a back road connecting the top of Teignmouth and the back of Dawlish. Cars flashed past me every few seconds, and this was taken standing in the middle of the road!
I've applied a slight selenium tone, and the focus on the foreground tree is intentionally selective.

An experiment being possible thanks to Solarixx's kindness. She allowed her Flickr's friends to process one of her pics. I love such crossing creativity. Original shot here : www.flickr.com/photos/solarixx/3449884104/

And another one: an older negative, printed only now!
I've found this one a bit difficult to print so that it hits my vision for it just right. After quite a few different prints, I ended up with this one and love it a lot. Especially the softness and creamy tone, pure eye candy.
Never before have I used a two bath lith process but I recently read quite a bit about it and decided to try it for myself with this print. To be honest, I couldn't tell you why I mixed my 2nd developer like I did, I was just told it would make sense that way ;)
As was expected, the paper lost its nice and strong warm color in the second developer but I managed to get this nice creamy tone still.

Part 1 of a new series on day time long exposures called Time Lapse
Time-lapse is a cinematography technique whereby each film frame is captured at a rate much slower than it will be played back.
Although this photo has nothing to do with cinematography the idea behind this has some similarities, and I just thought it was a nice title for a new series.
In this new series the emphasis will be more on architectural shots and combining this with long exposures. Usually I would take a shot like this from a different angle, very often standing much closer to the architectural object that I want to capture to create a dramatic and dynamic feel.
But when I saw the cloud formation I decided to step back a few metres. Although I didn't know beforehand what the actual result would be, I was quite pleased with the final result.
Technical info:
10 stops ND filter
Polarization Filter - 2 stops
f/22
ISO100
181s (3 min) exposure
Software:
Lightroom 2.0
PS CS3 - Silver Efex Pro - Yellow Filter - Selenium toning
