My first attempt at selective colouring. Taken with my Nikkor 18 - 55mm at a local park on a gloomy Saturday morning. These colours are right out of my D80, no tweaking! :-D

Selective mutism is an anxiety disorder that mostly affects children, but adults diagnosed with the condition fall under the radar.
Best described as a "phobia of talking", those with the condition are "literally unable to speak", rather than voluntarily refusing to do so. Their inability to speak is commonly mistaken as shyness, but people with selective mutism have a consistent and predictable pattern, finding it impossible to talk to the same people and in the same places.
A trigger, usually an everyday event, around the age of two or three sparks the condition and it becomes a learnt and reinforced pattern. Adults whose condition stemming from childhood are left untreated could suffer from other anxiety disorders such as agrophobia, as well as depression.

Yes I know, selective color is an effect, that should be used very rarely and careyfully; but this image was very monochromatic to begin with, so it was almost natural to use it for this robin.

Osteospermum, a.k.a. African Daisy, or Blue-eyed Daisy. Last week I had a better title in mind, but before I could actually upload it, I forgot about it. Anyway, much better if you see it LARGE on black. May 2009.

DDC-That's Not Right
It was a bit strange in the run! I swapped out the usual green for grey, and that's just weird!

That’s where I found Google/Youtube Mercurial,
For all my respected viewers this is the first time I done some layered processing on Photoshop. I’ve been looking for some tricks and tips about “Selective Color Processing”, been asking at some forums but the best way that I have found at internet, it’s your search engine, you just write about and answers start poring in front of you.
I’ve learned this technique from here
www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2lkv9Ztr8I
And this is just AN example, you can learn zillion of things available there for you 24/7, by doing that you can save money which you are spending in Photoshop short course classes, and remember this “NO ONE” no one can induct skills in you, they just can tell you how to do it, this is how I think you can always differ with it
Great Week

It is getting downright depressing to still have snow and cold weather. Tomorrow we will set an all-time record for the latest spring (defined as the first day above 50°F). On the other hand, the threat of flooding from the thaw has risen dramatically, so cool, barely melting days and freezing nights are good.
