I friend of mine makes honey at home and he needs as many bee's that he can find. He put up this box and within a month this hive was loaded with bees.

I am having such a great time photographing these beautiful birds!
Selective color is not really my style, and i was never to drawn to it. But i got a bit bored and i kept editing this picture that just didn't seem very interesting. So i tried this...and i kinda liked it. :)
Critiques and comments very welcome.
Only the bright yellow cliff is covered in sunshine the others are under cloud cover.
Initially, this print was a bit too dark and too flat for my taste. It really benefitted from some rather vigorous toning in selenium and sepia.

I'm not usually one for selective color but these ribbons were SO bright they were just screaming for it!
I've already posted this one with the selective focus of the Church of the Convenant in Boston with the natural framing of the flowering tree, something which I did on purpose as I wanted to frame the church with the flowering tree. Since I've started matting and framing some of my photos again after not doing it for a while, I thought I'd try it with this one, too.
Is it too much, do you think with the natural framing of the flowering tree?

the usual Berwyn shot , however ,the light at this time of year makes for a different picture , as the high wooded valley side and low sun means that it shines selectively on the scene as 5199 departs
