High-level segment at the Fifth Meeting of the Negotiating Committee of the Regional Agreement on Access to Information, Public Participation and Justice in Environmental Matters in Latin America and the Caribbean (Principle 10), held at ECLAC headquarters on November 21-25, 2016.

The first segment and the knee have been permanently attached, as the struts are glued into the axles. The struts are there to keep the knee from rotating when the first segment is bent.
Although it is observational, this piece is not the most accurate drawing of my appearance, compared to my other self portraits. However it is the most realistic representation of how I see myself as an individual. I intended to create more than just an observational portrait, and to have a meaning. I decided to divide my work into segments, representing pieces of my life, experience, ideas or perceptions of myself. Using watercolour, I used tranquil blues and desaturated colors to reflect my personality. What the piece represents for me is my life and identity.
I leaned how to control a 7-segment display through the USB port using python. I was up late (really late) messing around trying to get it to work and so I took a photo to record the moment.

The first segments are (mostly) completed. The distal ends have been attached and the whole thing is covered with cardboard from a Seagate disk drive box.
