This is a forest near Ebersberg in Upper Bavaria, Germany. I love this place with the mossy carpet and the birdhouses. It was a bit misty on that day, the late afternoon light and sun rays created an enchanting atmosphere. I called it ‘Hide & Seek’ because of the small trees hiding behind the bigger ones.
Apps used: taken with Pro HDR, cropped and added a blurred vignette with PhotoToaster and applied a wide angle effect with Photo fx.
Quidditch isn't exactly the safest sport if you ask some people. But it's definitely fun. With a bludger approaching, Sila wastes no time in reaching out to wrap their hands around the shimmering golden ball as it tries to fly away. It's a game they can't quit, no matter how many times they have wanted to and even tried to. Sometimes you're just destined to be good at something.
While along the walk around World Showcase with a group of photogs for the WDW Photography meet, Jenea, Andreea, and I split off to shoot some in Japan. I have always loved this pavilion and it's tranquil feel. I wanted to capture some of the details that accomplished this feeling. Upon seeing these lanterns, I knew I could make some magic of my own with my wide angle. By this time the clouds had subsided and broken up to reveal that great Florida blue sky. I was pretty happy with the way that this one turned out. What do you all think? Enjoy!

what does this mean
to see walking men
wrapped in the color of death,
to hear from their tongue
such difficult syllables?
are they the spirits
of our hope
or the pale ghosts of our future?
who will believe the red road
will not run on forever?
who will believe
a tribe of ice might live
and we may not?

HMC Seeker is a Border Agency (customs) cutter of the United Kingdom. She was launched by Damen Shipyards in the Netherlands in 2001 and is one of four 42-metre (138 ft) cutters formerly operated by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, and since 2008 operated by the UK Border Agency, this is based at Gravesend on the River Thames.
Was about to leave the area today, when I accidently scared this one up. It perched nearby for a bit, then dropped off behind some brush. I walked over slowly, and saw it walking around the ground. So I was able to luckily get some shots/video for a little while. :)

Rosario Magri
Rosario Magrì (1924 - 2005) was an Italian writer.
Neurologist, for many years he has been primary in a large hospital of Milan.
This shot of last year reminds me of my son.
When he was a child was a great "seeker"
Sea, lake, river, mountain, country, every place was good to seek and find and bring home ....:) That was his favorite pastime.
Stones, "fossil", shells now fill boxes under the bed, and even though he now has twenty years his "findings" are "untouchables")
Now is studying medicine, and continued his research in another way ....
Thank you for stopping by....

Here's a scene I did about a month ago. It's from dark, cold and windy Hoth. Darth Vader has sent out Seeker Droid to hunt down all those who oppose the Galactic Empire.
I got this Seeker Droid from the Mission Series with Darth Vader. It's a cheap set and it looked a bit too cheap at home. I thought I would try to do something out of it and not just throw it in the basket of junk...

Mittens lounging in one of her favourite play spots...the bathtub. She is just so curious jumping into the tub all the time, playing hide-and-seek behind the clear shower curtain liner. I love her curled mitten paws and oh so cute eyes staring at me.
Posted for Happy Caturday's theme "Eyes of March" focused on Mittens" beautiful eyes.

Emergency: Russian Rocket out of control to slam on earth in few hours time. They can't determine yet the possible crash landing site, could be anywhere along it chosen path. We have to pray it'll not drop by our backyard and of others.

The minute I heard my first love story, I started looking for you, not knowing how blind that was. Lovers don't finally meet somewhere. They're in each other all along. Rumi
It´s an interesting place, this hill.
Think I could easily take my outdoor gear and just vanish here.
Only a good search dog would sniff me out, but probably not reach all the way anyway.
when things get a bit stressful, I go hiking.
I have a t-shirt that says....
"Hike more ~ Worry less"
Charlie leads the way on a 6.85 mile hike. It was a bit longer because we came across a woman who seemed to be a bit lost.
I backtracked our route to get her on the next 'intersection' so she would stay on the right trail.
The markers can be confusing even with a map.
She had only a bottle of water and was wearing light sweatshirt. I worried about her on the way home because the weather was changing rapidly.
I never hike without a first aid kit and a Bivey Bag along with supplies to start a campfire and some protein bars [and dog food].
We had a wonderful afternoon and found a lot of wildflowers.
Shot with a center field diopter filter.

Mule deer. Southwest Arizona, USA.
Full frame. No crop. No post processing.
HMMM!
Photo taken with my favorite wide angle lens, the Tokina firin 20mm F2 AF (for some strange reason the Techart TZE-01 adapter shows every lens as the 50mm 1.4G...)
A Hoya ProND1000 was also used along with the brand new Kenko MC Twilight Blue filter to enhance the overall blues of the scene.

Two little Spotted owlets playing the game of hide-n-seek with the photographer here. Those little creatures and their eyes are something that caught my photog eye.
A bright light in the forest!
After many days of rain and fog, we got our weekend bonus sunny day.
This is one of the trails in Campbell Valley Park, Langley.
This one kept playing hide and seek in the leaves. Best look I could get of this beauty. Found at Machu Picchu.

The Medusa Heads are an essential feature of the Basilica Cistern, an ancient underground water reservoir located in Istanbul, Turkey. The two giant heads of the mythical Gorgon Medusa were used as column bases in the cistern. They were likely incorporated into the cistern for their aesthetic value and symbolic significance. The Gorgon Medusa is a well-known figure in Greek mythology, and her image was often used as a protective symbol in ancient times, intended to ward off evil spirits and protect sacred spaces. By incorporating the Medusa Heads into the cistern, the builders may have been seeking to imbue the structure with this protective power.
