Thor's Hammer at sunrise in Bryce Canyon National Park. It is always difficult to know what to do with the sun when there are no clouds in the sky. In this case, Thor's Hammer came to the rescue!

The London Design Biennale and the Malta Pavilion provided a great little setting for not only a game of Hide & Seek, but also a multitude of opportunities for street photography :)

The last of the umbrella shots I took earlier this month on a rainy morning. The complete opposite, weather-wise from what we had today, but I felt the wet mood suited Saint Patrick's day and I didn't take any green photos today, so it will do.
A fairly good day; worked from home, then ventured out to explore some new (to us) shops with Madeleine before coming home to celebrate St. Patty's with a few drinks and take out food.
A quiet way to celebrate, but a lot of fun, nevertheless, so I'm not complaining.
Hope everyone has had a great day!

Baker Street was just a short distance away from my hotel. Now where is 221B??. London, England, UK.
Quidditch isn't exactly the safest sport if you ask some people. But it's definitely fun. With a bludger approaching, Sila wastes no time in reaching out to wrap their hands around the shimmering golden ball as it tries to fly away. It's a game they can't quit, no matter how many times they have wanted to and even tried to. Sometimes you're just destined to be good at something.
Mystery bloom, seeking the sun from below the greenhouse window, The nearest plaque said "Cuban Raintree" but the pictures that pop up in Google bear no resemblance. I like the way it is reaching for the sunlight and the detail the light reveals. Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, New York Botanical Garden, the Bronx, NYC -- August 29, 2023
Here's a scene I did about a month ago. It's from dark, cold and windy Hoth. Darth Vader has sent out Seeker Droid to hunt down all those who oppose the Galactic Empire.
I got this Seeker Droid from the Mission Series with Darth Vader. It's a cheap set and it looked a bit too cheap at home. I thought I would try to do something out of it and not just throw it in the basket of junk...

It´s an interesting place, this hill.
Think I could easily take my outdoor gear and just vanish here.
Only a good search dog would sniff me out, but probably not reach all the way anyway.
when things get a bit stressful, I go hiking.
I have a t-shirt that says....
"Hike more ~ Worry less"
Charlie leads the way on a 6.85 mile hike. It was a bit longer because we came across a woman who seemed to be a bit lost.
I backtracked our route to get her on the next 'intersection' so she would stay on the right trail.
The markers can be confusing even with a map.
She had only a bottle of water and was wearing light sweatshirt. I worried about her on the way home because the weather was changing rapidly.
I never hike without a first aid kit and a Bivey Bag along with supplies to start a campfire and some protein bars [and dog food].
We had a wonderful afternoon and found a lot of wildflowers.

Two little Spotted owlets playing the game of hide-n-seek with the photographer here. Those little creatures and their eyes are something that caught my photog eye.

HMC Seeker is a Border Agency (customs) cutter of the United Kingdom. She was launched by Damen Shipyards in the Netherlands in 2001 and is one of four 42-metre (138 ft) cutters formerly operated by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, and since 2008 operated by the UK Border Agency, this is based at Gravesend on the River Thames.
Inside a ruined German bunker complex on L'Oeillere headland, Jersey. This was quite scary to be honest - I didn't have a torch (the light at the end of the corridor is coming through where the anti-tank gun would have been located) and there were rooms to the left and right which were pitch dark, I've no idea what was in there. When I first walked in I could see a chair at the end of the corridor, and I thought someone else was in there too. Clearly kids have been in, judging from the graffiti.
I spent a while in here but then the oppressive atmosphere and the noise from the dark side rooms - pigeons, I think - compelled me to get out into the sunlight and fresh air.
