Hello! I am a single male tarantula looking for a meaningful relationship with that special someone, preferably a single female tarantula, though there’s nothing wrong with other kinds of relationships. Live and let live, I always say, unless I happen to be killing and eating you.
I enjoy long walks, killing and eating. Turn ons include hairy legs and silk. Turn offs are mainly predatory wasps. Hoping we can meet soon and that you won’t devour me after sex.
Had a nice saturday afternoon out with just the little Fuji X-T10 and a 18-55 mm. lens. Did some walking around with photobuddy Maarten Takens in 's Heerenberg. Suddenly the sky was filled with clouds and rain. We found shelter in this church and peacefully we could take some pictures. I am always amazed with the gorgeous contrast, lights and tones. Note: this is no HDR, just a Fuji file, this little camera can do so much and still I use it too little cause I also fancy my old fashioned Canon DMKIII.
Cows seeking shelter from the snow under some bushes and trees, all huddled together. Seen in our local nature reserve "Gemene Weidebeek" near Bruges.

BNSF 6572 steadily crawls up the east slope of Providence Hill, one of the major obstacles on the railroad's Lakeside Subdivision.
The sun has set, and only the glow of the cloud line to the west shares any light on the scene. In the distance, the rolling hills between Lind, and Warden WA stretch on further than the eye can see. Mostly adorned with ryegrass and sage, some of those hills seasonally host crops of wheat, cultivated with dryland farming.
Other than the occasional vehicle of a farmhand traversing the county road, the only sound for many minutes was that of the four cycle GEVO prime movers roaring. The head end has just passed the former control point of Providence, and will crest the summit of the grade out of the right side of the frame.
The photo title is the same as a magazine article from the 1990's on this section of line. My memory fails me on recalling the author or publication, though I have a feeling it was Pacific Railnews, or CTC Board. A photocopy of that periodical accompanied me on my first visit to this line thirty years ago. On that day, much the same as on the day of the image above, very few trains ran until the evening hours, followed by a nearly nonstop parade through the night.

The Seeker is a small crab fishing boat, based in Victoria, B.C.. It's two man crew regularly works the waters off Esquimalt Harbour and Lagoon. Every once in awhile, weather and light permitting, they provide a nice photo opportunity. I've posted several photos of the Seeker in the Album "Vessels".

Jasper is hoping Autumn arrives soon. And not just on the calendar. It was 105°F (~41°C) on our evening walk yesterday, which has been typical. You can tell by Jasper's posture here that he's just sick of it. But Monday promises a high of just 84F (29C) so that should be a lot better
An adult male Nullarbor Earless Dragon (Tympanocryptis houstoni) basks on an elevated rock, thereby increasing his contact with the remaining warmth of the setting sun as the Nullarbor Plain is gradually cloaked in shadow. Taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark 3 DSLR coupled to a Carl Zeiss ZE Makro Planar 50/2.0. Hand-held with reflected side-lighting.
I have not posted a photo of Mount Rainier in four months..... ok, I haven't posted anything in three weeks either. :)
So Friday I get up at three and bolt with coffee in hand, get to Inspiration point as the show is dying down. Rainier is off to my right clear as day, not a cloud around it, just blah blue. ok, off to Reflection Lakes about a mile down the road. Not only is there no mountain at all, there still aren't any lakes either, still frozen over. Back to Inspiration Point, same blah, but I can see Ricksecker Point below and it's just above the fog rolling through the Nisqually Valley, tallyho! I leap from sweet ride and take this shot, less than five seconds later I take a pic of half the mountain and there were no more shots as the mountain had drawn the do not disturb curtain and disappeared once more.
