The lifecycle of a poppy (in my backyard) We don't get much sun in our yard, but we planted poppies anyways in the spot that gets the most sunlight. After two months, they finally flowered, and started dropping their petals after only 2-3 days. The slugs still had enough time to get inside a flower though.

I got carried away with these seedpods...

Not sure what this plant is called.....

A happy little seed pod that my gran found in the yard. It was making all sorts of creeky little sounds as the seeds loosened up.

While walking this past winter I took this picture of a sweetgum seedpod. After a few moments in Photoshop, the image was suitable for display.

This set were all created from the first image in the set, using Lightroom to crop and then adjust levels and tint to achieve the different effect

 

....red. I am not sure what these berry/seedpods are. Found in the paddock.

... as the flowers are still in bloom.

This is a seed pod from a hybrid datura. Not ripe yet and with the frost last night it might not. The species datura has a spiny seed pod so I was intrigued with the sight of this one.
