Seedpods of the up to now still unidentified tree with maroon flowers.

One new green closed seedpod, with 5 segments and one old open 'woody' seedpod with feathery like details in it. If somebody knows which tree this is I'd be very grateful !

This thing is quite large... a few inches... photo is not a macro.

It was a cool morning for a walk, and the huge old maples along the way to work looked just a wee bit autumnal.

Clematis seedpod with sunlight high lights. I couldn't resist taking a break from the mulch patrol.

Couldn't decide which one I like better. They were taken within seconds of each other.

This one is definitely best viewed large.

Something along the road

The lifecycle of a poppy (in my backyard) We don't get much sun in our yard, but we planted poppies anyways in the spot that gets the most sunlight. After two months, they finally flowered, and started dropping their petals after only 2-3 days. The slugs still had enough time to get inside a flower though.

I got carried away with these seedpods...

Geum seed pods.

Saw this little seedpod on the boardwalk, thought it was pretty interesting...
