It looks so much like scarecrow's head

The frost on the trees was heavy this morning. By early afternoon the light was better, so I shot a few pictures of our Locust tree.

I've just been roaming around the yard today seeing what I could find.

Not ripe yet. It will turn red and split to reveal bright orange seeds.

This has quite a few textures in it, including a fine line of water droplets about a third of the way up on the left, perhaps collected on a hair or fragment of spiderweb.

Dew Drops - East Beach

Seedpods of the up to now still unidentified tree with maroon flowers.

One new green closed seedpod, with 5 segments and one old open 'woody' seedpod with feathery like details in it. If somebody knows which tree this is I'd be very grateful !

This thing is quite large... a few inches... photo is not a macro.
