Greenlandic national costume from north western Greenland Kamiky high leather boots
Alena and Jaroslav Klempíř are currently considered to be the greatest experts on Greenland in a general context. They are members of the International Organization of Journalists. They work in the fields of social geography, history, climatology and glaciology.
Greenland, the largest island in the world belongs to Denmark and it lies at the intersection of the Atlantic and Arctic Oceans. Upon meeting Alena and Jaroslav Klempíř, you will very quickly understand that this island has literally become their second home. After years of trips to Greenland, they have come to know the beauty of its nature, the wonder of the polar days and the magic of the polar nights. During their research, they have gathered many written documents from the history and the present of Greenland. They have been searching for the traces which the missionaries from the Moravian Brethren have left on the island.
I was inspired to bead a bra after seeing some breast cancer survivors decorated bras so I made a trip to our local Goodwill store and picked up a cute little padded bra (34B). I will never be able to wear this little number because I'm not petite any place except the bridge of my nose!
The cups are beaded with seed beads (8s, 11s, 15s) along fire polish glass beads. The fringe used 5 tubes of black 11 seed beads.
I've now found a calendar which showcases art bras but it doesn't fit the size requirements. Look out Goodwill, here I come, looking for a padded 34C for the 2011 issue.

This is another bead embroidered cuff I made. This time not with polymer clay cabs, but with hematite cabs, combined with all different kinds of seedbeads. I used a magnetic clasp and the inside is finished with black ultra suede.

The December challenge of Etsy Beadweavers team is Peace and Winter Olympics. The challenge was to create a "piece" that reflects "peace, understanding, friendly competition and respect for your fellow mankind.
I have chosen to incorporate the famous peace symbol in this necklace. The peace symbol appears four times in the centerpiece of the necklace, along five crystal representing the Olympic rings.

Czech PRECIOSA Farfalle™ seed beads stand out due to their unusual shape which is reminiscent of a ribbon or a butterfly. That is where they get their name from (the Italian word for "butterfly"). The shape of Czech PRECIOSA Farfalle™ beads has also inspired Japanese producers who offer similarly shaped beads under the name of Berry Beads (BB) or Peanut Beads.
The production of PRECIOSA Farfalle™ seed beads began in 2005 in four basic glass types: crystal, chalk, alabaster and black. The original range was later expanded to include the basic transparent colours of topaz, amethyst, sapphire, grey, green, aquamarine and red. A wide range of finishes can be applied to the glass: for example, iris coatings, lustres, rainbow coatings, chrome, silver and colour linings or a matt finish.
PRECIOSA Farfalle™ are produced in two sizes: 3.2 x 6.5 mm and 2 x 4 mm. The size of the PRECIOSA Farfalle™ seed beads is ellipsoid and it is located in the central narrowed section of the seed bead, so the seed beads automatically cross during stringing which leads to an interlocking effect.
Cut Farfalle is a special type of PRECIOSA Farfalle™ seed bead, on which 1-2 small facets are cut on a special cutting wheel which gives the seed bead a special brilliance.

This is a wide, about 3 inch, cuff style bracelet. It is freeform peyote stitch made with beads in gold and copper tones.
The closure is a large check glass button. This is a real attention getter.
De nuevo una pulsera a la que se le pueden quitar y añadir piezas para combinar como desees.
El cordón está hecho con rocalla Miyuki 457L en herringbone y las piezas intercambiables son de Mariposas, y les ha llamado Pandoritos. Llevan bolas de cristal de 4 mm.

Un modelo de pendiente que cambia de tamaño sólo con cambiar el número inicial de facetadas checas de 4 mm.
El modelo original es de Weraph y yo lo he modificado quitándole la piedra central que ella usaba, un rívoli, un cabujón... Así me parece que queda geniales!!!
Aquí los tenéis con 8 facetadas (mide 16 mm. de diámetro), con 7 facetadas (14mm.) y con 6 facetadas (12 mm.). Todas ellas son de 4 mm.
Los ganchos son de cobre en diferente color, antialérgicos y antibacterianos.

The production technology for PRECIOSA Bugles is similar to that used for PRECIOSA Rocailles, however the cut rods with various shaped holes (round, square or hexagonal) are not rounded, but are merely fine tumbled in order to smooth off any sharp edges and heat polished. In order to produce an increased and more effective sparkle, PRECIOSA Bugles are produced with a twisted or extra twisted hole or surface which in PRECIOSA Bugles can be round or square, straight or twisted. The variability of the PRECIOSA Bugles is therefore enormous.
The size (or length) of PRECIOSA Bugles is given in a so-called linear series from 0.5'' to 15.6'', where the bugles with the smallest size correspond to ca 1.6 mm and the largest correspond to ca 35 mm.
