BANGABANDHU SHEIKH MUJIBUR RAHMAN
The life of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is the saga of a great leader turning peoplepower into an armed struggle that liberated a nation and created the world’s ninth most populous state. The birth of the sovereign state of Bangladesh in December 1971, after a heroic war of nine months against the Pakistani colonial rule, was the triumph of his faith in the destiny of his people. Sheikh Mujib, endearingly called Bangabandhu or friend of Bangladesh, rose from the people, molded their hopes and aspirations into a dream and staked his life in the long battle for making it real. He was a true democrat, and he employed in his struggle for securing justice and fairplay for the Bengalees only democratic and constitutional weapons until the last moment. It is no accident of history that in an age of military coup d’etat and ‘strong men’, Sheikh Mujib attained power through elections and mass movement and that in an age of decline of democracy he firmly established democracy in one of the least developed countries of Asia.
Sheikh Mujib was born on 17 March 1920 in a middle class family at Tungipara in Gopalganj district. Standing 5 feet 11 inches, he was taller than the average Bengalee. Nothing pleased him more than being close to the masses, knowing their joys and sorrows and being part of their travails and triumphs. He spoke their soft language but in articulating their sentiments his voice was powerful and resonant. He had not been educated abroad, nor did he learn the art of hiding feelings behind sophistry; yet he was loved as much by the urban educated as the common masses of the villages. He inspired the intelligentsia and the working class alike. He did not, however, climb to leadership overnight.
Early Political Life: His political life began as an humble worker while he was still a student. He was fortunate to come in early contact with such towering personalities as Hussain Shaheed Suhrawardy and A K Fazlul Huq, both charismatic Chief Ministers of undivided Bengal. Adolescent Mujib grew up under the gathering gloom of stormy politics as the aging British raj in India was falling apart and the Second World War was violently rocking the continents. He witnessed the ravages of the war and the stark realities of the great famine of 1943 in which about five million people lost their lives. The tragic plight of the people under colonial rule turned young Mujib into a rebel.
This was also the time when he saw the legendary revolutionary Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose challenging the British raj. Also about this time he came to know the works of Bernard Shaw, Karl Marx, Rabindranath Tagore and rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. Soon after the partition of India in 1947 it was felt that the creation of Pakistan with its two wings separated by a physical distance of about 1,200 miles was a geographical monstrosity. The economic, political, cultural and linguistic characters of the two wings were also different. Keeping the two wings together under the forced bonds of a single state structure in the name of religious nationalism would merely result in a rigid political control and economic exploitation of the eastern wing by the all-powerful western wing which controlled the country’s capital and its economic and military might.
Early Movement: In 1948 a movement was initiated to make Bengali one of the state languages of Pakistan. This can be termed the first stirrings of the movement for an independent Bangladesh. The demand for cultural freedom gradually led to the demand for national independence. During that language movement Sheikh Mujib was arrested and sent to jail. During the blood-drenched language movement in 1952 he was again arrested and this time he provided inspiring leadership of the movement from inside the jail.
In 1954 Sheikh Mujib was elected a member of the then East Pakistan Assembly. He joined A K Fazlul Huq’s United Front government as the youngest minister. The ruling clique of Pakistan soon dissolved this government and Shiekh Mujib was once again thrown into prison. In 1955 he was elected a member of the Pakistan Constituent Assembly and was again made a minister when the Awami League formed the provincial government in 1956. Soon after General Ayub Khan staged a military coup in Pakistan in 1958, Sheikh Mujib was arrested once again and a number of cases were instituted against him. He was released after 14 months in prison but was re-arrested in February 1962. In fact, he spent the best part of his youth behind the prison bars.
Supreme Test: March 7, 1971 was a day of supreme test in his life. Nearly two million freedom loving people assembled at the Ramna Race Course Maidan, later renamed Suhrawardy Uddyan, on that day to hear their leader’s command for the battle for liberation. The Pakistani military junta was also waiting to trap him and to shoot down the people on the plea of suppressing a revolt against the state. Sheikh Mujib spoke in a thundering voice but in a masterly well-calculated restrained language. His historic declaration in the meeting was: "Our struggle this time is for freedom. Our struggle this time is for independence." To deny the Pakistani military an excuse for a crackdown, he took care to put forward proposals for a solution of the crisis in a constitutional way and kept the door open for negotiations.
The crackdown, however, did come on March 25 when the junta arrested Sheikh Mujib for the last time and whisked him away to West Pakistan for confinement for the entire duration of the liberation war. In the name of suppressing a rebellion the Pakistani military let loose hell on the unarmed civilians throughout Bangladesh and perpetrated a genocide killing no less than three million men, women and children, raping women in hundreds of thousands and destroying property worth billions of taka. Before their ignominious defeat and surrender they, with the help of their local collaborators, killed a large number of intellectuals, university professors, writers, doctors, journalists, engineers and eminent persons of other professions. In pursuing a scorch-earth policy they virtually destroyed the whole of the country’s infrastructure. But they could not destroy the indomitable spirit of the freedom fighters nor could they silence the thundering voice of the leader. Tape recordings of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib’s 7th March speech kept on inspiring his followers throughout the war.
Return and Reconstruction: Forced by international pressure and the imperatives of its own domestic predicament, Pakistan was obliged to release Sheikh Mujib from its jail soon after the liberation of Bangladesh and on 10 January 1972 the great leader returned to his beloved land and his admiring nation.
But as he saw the plight of the country his heart bled and he knew that there would be no moment of rest for him. Almost the entire nation including about ten million people returning from their refuge in India had to be rehabilitated, the shattered economy needed to be put back on the rail, the infrastructure had to be rebuilt, millions had to be saved from starvation and law and order had to be restored. Simultaneously, a new constitution had to be framed, a new parliament had to be elected and democratic institutions had to be put in place. Any ordinary mortal would break down under the pressure of such formidable tasks that needed to be addressed on top priority basis. Although simple at heart, Sheikh Mujib was a man of cool nerves and of great strength of mind. Under his charismatic leadership the country soon began moving on to the road to progress and the people found their long-cherished hopes and aspirations being gradually realized.
Assassination: But at this critical juncture, his life was cut short by a group of anti-liberation reactionary forces who in a pre-dawn move on 15 August 1975 not only assassinated him but 23 of his family members and close associates. Even his 10 year old son Russel’s life was not spared by the assassins. The only survivors were his two daughters, Sheikh Hasina - now the country’s Prime Minister - and her younger sister Sheikh Rehana, who were then away on a visit to Germany. In killing the father of the Nation, the conspirators ended a most glorious chapter in the history of Bangladesh but they could not end the great leader’s finest legacy- the rejuvenated Bengali nation. In a fitting tribute to his revered memory, the present government has declared August 15 as the national mourning day. On this day every year the people would be paying homage to the memory of a man who became a legend in his won lifetime. Bangabandhu lives in the heart of his people. Bangladesh and Bangabandhu are one and inseparable. Bangladesh was Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s vision and he fought and died for it.

Good attitude but no need to do this simple acting for growing the attraction of Khaleda. Next time he will be foreign Minister if BNP comes to the power.

Enniscorthy edged by battling Bangor by Roger Corbett
Bangor produced an excellent performance against a strong Enniscorthy side to once again come from behind and secure a semi-final place by 14-10.
In contrast to last week, the weather and pitch conditions at Upritchard Park were good. However, Bangor’s preparations got off to a bad start when centre Mike Aspley aggravated an injury in the pre-match warm-up and was unable to play. A quick re-shuffle saw Chris Morgan come in from full back as his replacement, and Adam McCusker taking up the full back role. For Enniscorthy’s part, they came to this fixture on the back of a good run of results in the Leinster League Division 1A, and sitting in second place in that table.
A mistake by Bangor right from the referee’s whistle at kick-off looked to have handed the visitors an opportunity to take the initiative. However, having won the ball back, McCusker put a superb kick deep into the Enniscorthy twenty two that left the defence no option but to put it into touch. The Bangor line-out was taken cleanly by Curtis Stewart, and a maul was formed that surged towards the Enniscorthy line before Jamie Clegg dropped with the ball and scored the game’s first try after just 4 minutes. Mark Widdowson made the conversion, and the score was 7-0.
Within 3 minutes the lead could have been extended when Enniscorthy were penalised for a high tackle. However, this time Widdowson’s kick drifted wide of the posts.
If Bangor thought things were going their way, this soon changed as Enniscorthy gathered themselves and started to gain confidence through a lengthy period of possession, aided in some part by Bangor’s readiness to kick when in possession themselves. The Enniscorthy attack was now causing Bangor headaches, with the result that the penalty count started to rise. Eventually these repeated infringements around the breakdown led to a yellow card being shown to James Henly. Enniscorthy saw this as their opportunity to capitalise, and laid siege to Bangor’s line. Bangor doggedly held their line despite conceding further penalties, and having to defend the resulting line-out and drive combination by Enniscorthy. As Henly’s 10 minute period in the sin bin came to an end, Bangor had somehow managed to hold off the Enniscorthy attack, and had actually managed to turn over the ball, giving them a chance to clear their lines and gather their breath. However, in a bizarre series of events, Ricky Armstrong’s clearance kick was charged down and bounced back towards the Bangor line, only to be gratefully accepted by one of the big Enniscorthy forwards who was still getting to his feet from the preceding ruck. With barely two steps to the line, he touched down for the try, leaving the Bangor players confused and dejected after working so hard to prevent the score. The conversion was missed, keeping Bangor narrowly ahead by 7-5, after 23 minutes.
For most of the remainder of the first half, Enniscorthy kept play in Bangor’s half. Bangor looked dangerous on the counter attack, with some good runs by the wingers Davy Charles and Mark Widdowson. For Enniscorthy’s part, they had several good scoring opportunities but either knocked-on or missed a pass at the crucial moments. A half time score of 7-5 would have been gladly taken by Bangor but, as 40 minutes approached, a lapse in concentration while in their own twenty two, led to a missed tackle which was clinically exploited by Enniscorthy, allowing them to run in for their second try which, although unconverted, gave the lead by 7-10 as the sides turned around.
As has been the case in many other games, Bangor’s second half performance moved up a gear, and it was now the visitor’s line that was coming under attack. Within the first 10 minutes, Bangor looked to be in a good scoring position, but the Enniscorthy defence was equal to Bangor’s first half display. Although unable to break through at this time, Bangor were now looking more confident as the initial Enniscorthy charge appeared to be stuttering. This certainly looked the case when, after 25 minutes had elapsed, the Enniscorthy kicker elected to go for the posts from close to the half way line – a strange decision given the relatively poor conversion attempts earlier. Once again the kick was missed, but Bangor had at least been pushed back into their own half.
As the game entered the final 5 minutes, it was beginning to look like Enniscorthy would hold firm and take the win. However, in a repeat of the exemplary performance displayed at Clonmel in the previous round, Bangor simply lifted their game again and mounted a surge against their tiring opponents. With just 2 minutes of normal time remaining, Jamie Ball gathered the ball at the half way line, and then passed it to Clegg on his left. Leading by example, Clegg went straight, taking the ball past the 10 metre line and drawing the approaching Enniscorthy defender. A well-timed pass to his left was equally well-received by Widdowson on the wing, who rounded his opposite number and sprinted for the line. With little space to work with and the full-back still to beat, Widdowson produced the speed and footwork necessary to take him over the line, to the left of the posts. He then managed to add the icing on the cake with another well-struck conversion which put Bangor ahead by 14-10.
The moments immediately after scoring are particularly dangerous, and with Enniscorthy now throwing everything they had, the remaining couple of minutes were incredibly tense – for both sets of supporters. To Enniscorthy’s credit, they skilfully kept recycling the ball – almost like sevens rugby – bringing the game back into Bangor’s twenty two. But in the end, it was just too much, with Bangor eventually managing to turn the ball over and close out the game, bringing despair and delight in equal measure on the faces of the opposing players.
To the Bangor supporters who had been unable to travel to the game at Clonmel, and who had not fully appreciated the performance there, this brought everything that had been said into focus, and with it the realisation that Bangor now have the ability to go all the way in this competition. With Ulster rivals Clogher Valley and CIYMS, and Leinster high-fliers Dundalk now joining Bangor in the semi-finals, the next hurdle will be equally challenging, but having beaten two of the strongest junior sides in Ireland, confidence is high and everything is now to play for.

We grow food, harvest water and generate electricity, all in a naturally controlled climate system. At the centre of the pavilion sits a giant green food cone. On the outside this vertical farm is covered with edible plants, the cold, dark and humid inside is perfect for growing mushrooms. A solar-powered Rainmaker turns desert air into a continuous supply of safe and clean water, while solar cells in the pavilion’s solar cells provide the Rainmaker with electricity. At the same time, these skylights allow sunlight into the pavilion, which the plants need for photosynthesis. The result is a perfectly circular miniature biosphere.

The top-seeded Army West Point Women’s Basketball team won its third Patriot League title with a 69-51 victory over No. 3 Loyola on Saturday evening at Christl Arena. Army secures the Patriot League’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and will make its third appearance in the dance, following trips in 2006 and 2014.
Army extends its winning streak to 19 games and improves to 29-2. The Black Knights’ 29 win tie the 2009-10 Lehigh squad for the most total wins in Patriot League history. Loyola finishes the year 16-16 after the setback.
Senior Kelsey Minato earned Patriot League Tournament MVP honors for the second time in her career after scoring 25 points and shooting 4-of-8 from beyond the arc. Classmate Aimee Oertner and sophomore Janae McNeal joined Minato on the league’s all-tournament team, as Oertner posted a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double, to go along with four blocks, and McNeal totaled 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting.
Sophomore Destinee Morris netted eight points off the bench, while classmate Aliyah Murray and freshman Madison Hovren each contributed four points.
Diana Logan led Loyola with 15 points, while Colleen Marshall and Bri Betz-White also scored in double figures, with 12 points and 11 points, respectively.
Minato knocked in a three-pointer 2:28 into the contest to give Army a 5-2 advantage before sinking all three free-throws after being fouled on a long-range attempt with 5:03 to play in the first quarter. Her three foul shots made the score 10-4.
Oertner registered three blocks in the first 2:19 of the evening to limit Loyola’s offense early, as the Greyhounds were held to nine points in the opening frame.
McNeal converted lay-ups on consecutive possessions to cap a 9-0 Army run and extend the margin to 10 points, 14-4, with 3:41 remaining in the first period. The Black Knights went on to outscore the Greyhounds, 13-5, over the final 6:48 of the opening frame, as the hosts led, 20-9, at the end of one.
Logan scored the first seven points of the second quarter to begin a 9-0 run that brought Loyola back to within two, 20-18, with 6:45 left until halftime. Logan buried her second triple of the half to extend the scoring run to 12-0 and give the Greyhounds their first lead of the game, 21-20, with 6:12 remaining in the second period.
Army answered back with 10 straight points of its own, including three-pointers from Minato and Morris, to build the advantage to nine points, 30-21, by the 2:39 mark. Morris drained her second three-pointer of the quarter with 19 seconds remaining in the half to make the score 33-23 heading into the break.
The Black Knights maintained a 10-point advantage until building the lead to 14 after a pair of free-throws from Minato and a bucket from Oertner that came with 4:04 on the clock in the third quarter.
McNeal added lay-ins 22 seconds apart to build the hosts’ lead to 17, 47-30, before seven unanswered points from Loyola brought the Greyhounds back to within 10, 47-37, entering the fourth period.
Oertner netted four quick points to begin the fourth quarter and Minato hit a triple at the 7:59 mark to bring the score to 54-41. Loyola didn’t come any closer than 11 for the last 7:59 of the contest.
“This team has never ceased to amaze me this year,” said head coach Dave Magarity. “It’s mind blowing that we are 29-2 and the way we got here, the teams we beat and we thought we put together a pretty tough schedule with Albany, the conference champion in the America East, Quinnipiac won the MAAC regular season and they were huge wins for us and put us in position to get the one-seed as things worked out for us with the tiebreaker over a great Bucknell team.
“This group of young ladies has just accomplished so much with 99 wins over four years at this level is incredible and they just continue to do what it takes. You don’t want it to turn into a cliché with being a team of destiny, but we put together the right pieces. Janae McNeal and the junior class with Aliyah Murray and the Morris twins, as well, and I consider my coaching staff the best in America. It’s the best coaching staff I’ve ever had and I’ve had some pretty good coaches."

20 mai 2020 - Goma, RDC - Dans le cadre de la sécurisation des populations de la ville et de ses environs, une patrouille de nuit conjointe composée de l'UNPOL, de la Police nationale congolaise et de l'armée congolaise a été effectuée 19 heures à Goma. La patrouille s'est rendue dans plusieurs quartiers de la commune de KARISIMBI et des villes voisines du territoire de NYIRAGONGO

St John the Baptist's at Bradley Green is an entirely Victorian church, dating from 1864-5, the work of J.W.Hopkins (two heavily eroded carved slabs in the north porch floor must represent all that remains of the medieval building). A simple and attractive building consisting of nave, chancel and north east steeple, it stands quite alone in this thinly populated village.
The interior is enlivened by a c1885 Hardman's Crucifixion in the east window and the dramatic rose window in the west wall, filled in 1920 with military insignia by A.J.Davies as a World War I memorial.
The church has suffered from subsidence in more recent years with fissures visible in certain areas, the movement affecting the east and west windows; in order to secure the stained glass certain panels were removed for repair (Norgrove Studios, early 2007) which included most of the east window and two segments of the rose. During the work we discovered a small piece of eroded medieval glass incorporated into one of the angel figures in the traceries of the east window, which thus is the oldest part of the present structure.
The church is normally kept locked without keyholder information (at one time the post office performed this function, but it is no more).

The playground again. There's a kind of mesh net thing made of chains, like a rope ladder only wider, that kids can climb up. This is but a few links of the whole. I'm not entirely convinced that the focus is spot-on, but it seems to look OK. Another thing to remember to check, should I ever find myself in this situation again.

The Support Races Featured During the Day were also Full of Different Makes and Models of Ford Racing Cars From The Focus RS to the Ford Escort and the Iconic Sierra Cosworth and even the Iconic Enduro KA series was Present and with Drivers and Spectators Ready the Racing was about to begin.

In Second Place was (Tom Mills) in his Spectrum KMR with a Lap Time of 50.706 and an Average Speed of 77.38mph. Amazing Drive there Tom Keeping up with Niall and a Fantastic Battle thought the entire Race too.
In Third Place was (Colin Queen) in his RAY GR18 with a Lap Time of 50.820 and an Average Speed of 77.32mph. A Great Victory for Third Place on the Podium Colin showing a Determined Drive and a lot of Bravery thought the Race.

Race 2 Up Next and The Final Time for Anyone Racing in Champion of Brands to Score Points and Take Victory in either First Second or Third Place. After a Thrilling End to Race 1 which Saw Tom Mills getting Beaten by Niall Murray it was time to see who could Once Again bring the Roar and Thunder Home for a Final Time.
In First Place was (Niall Murray) in his Van Diemen BD21 with a Lap Time of 50.584 and an Average Speed of 84.84mph. Another Incredible Drive from Niall to once again take The Final Pole Position for Champion of Brands. Brilliant Drive there Niall.
In Second Place was (Tom Mills) in his Spectrum KMR with a Lap Time of 50.606 and an Average Speed of 84.47mph. Another Well Deserved Second Place for Tom Showing Incredible Car Control and Bravery Pushing the Limits on Every Corner to Keep up with Niall. Fantastic Drive Tom.
In Third Place was (Lucan Romenek) in his Van Diemen JL13 with a Lap Time of 50.927 and an Average Speed of 83.92mph. Very Well Done there Lucan Fantastic to see a New Driver take a Step onto the Podium and Celebrate the Victory.

Clubman Sports Prototypes were up next and thease Mad Looking Machines are known for their Supreme Aerodynamics as well as Insane Straight Line Speed. each Driver will have to be on the ball and Keeping their Machine under Constant Control as they will be Powering round this 1,2 mile Indy Circuit at Speeds of at Least 90mph.

Next Up is the MSR Elise Trophy
with the Focus of this Race being on the Lotus Elise S1 S2 and S3 with Just One Qualifying Session and Just 1 Race This will be A Test of Will Power and Determination on the Track to see who can Take Victory.
First Lets look to Qualifying and See who will be Starting on the Front Row.
In First Place taking the Pole and Fastest Lap was (Maurizio Sciglio) in his Lotus Elise S2 with a Best Lap Time of 53.544 and a Top Speed of 81.21mph. Fantastic work there Maurizio to take P1 and start o the Front Row of the Grid.
In Second Place was (Jason Mcinulty) in his Lotus Elise S3 with a Best Lap Time of 53.914 and a Top Speed of 80.65mph. Very Well Done there Jason Putting in one Hell of a Quick Time to Gain P2 on the Grid.
In Third Place was (Simon Walsh) in his Lotus Elise S2 111R with a Best Lap Time of 54.076 and a Top Speed of 80.41mph. Incredible Drive from Simon to put Himself in P3.
With Three Very Quick Drivers in Maurizio Jason and Simon it was Time to see if Anyone Could challenge them and Win the Only Race of the Day for the Lotus Elise Trophy.
MSVR Elise Trophy (Race 1)
In First Place taking The Victory was (Jason Mcinulty) in his Lotus Elise S3 with a Lap Time of 54.638 and an Average Speed of 66.83mph. Fantastic Victory for Jason taking P1 and The Race Win for the Elise Trophy. Phenomenal Driving too.
In Second Place was (John Lamaster) in his Lotus Elise S2 135R with a Lap Time of 54.781 and an Average Speed of 66.75mph. Fantastic work John and So Great to see a New Face on the Podium Taking P2 what an Incredible Driver.
In Third Place was (David Alexander) in his Lotus Elise S1 with a Lap Time of 55.589 and an Average Speed of 66.62mph. Very Well Driven Dave Keeping an Eye out all over the Place and Bringing Home a Superb P3 Finish.

Modified Ford Series (Qualifying Group A)
Now it was Time to head Back to the Blue Badged Ford Machines Once again as the Modified Ford Series Rolled out onto the Race Track with each car being Heavily Modified from their Road Counterparts. With Escort Cosworth's and RS200's Roaring and Ready to go it was Time to see what the First Group A set of Drivers could do in Qualifying.
Due to how large the Grids were and the Fact that both Group A and Group B Have Different Races I will only be putting up results from both Qualifying Sessions from Group A and Group B. I will Leave a Link Below each Qualifying Session so you can Get All the Race Result's and Action from the 4 Different Races.
Modified Ford Series (Qualifying Group A)
In First Place Taking Pole Position and the Fastest Lap was (David Cockell) in his Ford Escort Cosworth with a Best Lap Time of 49.872 and a Top Speed of 87.19mph. Very Well Done David Keeping that Escort on the Track Must Have Taken some Practice no Doubt Amazing work on Getting Pole.
In Second Place was (Wayne Crabtree) in his Ford RS200 with a Best Lap Time of 51.121 and a Top Speed of 85.06mph. Very Fast Drive from Wayne to take P2 and a Very Solid Drive Thought.

Modified Ford Series Group B (Qualifying)
Now it was Time for Group B to make a stance and see what their Modified Ford Racing Machines could do. with How Fast and Action Packed Group A Had Been During both The Races and Qualifying Group B was looking to be much the Same.

In First Place Taking Pole Position and The Fastest Lap was (Neil Jessop) in his Ford Escort MK2 with a Best Lap Time of 52.030 and a Top Speed of 83.57mph. Fantastic Work there Neil and a Really Quick Escort to match too. Very Well Done.
In Second Place was (James Harris) in his Ford Escort MK2 with a Best Lap Time of 53.928 and a Top Speed of 80.63mph. Amazing work there James Pushing Hard and Giving the Old Girl everything she has to offer.

Enduro KA (Qualifying)
The Final Qualifying Session of the Day Had Come and its the Enduro KA'S. with all of the Cars on the Grid being Models of the Popular Ford KA made Between 1998-2009 thease Cars were Fun City cars that could get you from A to B with Ease. They were Also Build on a tight budget meaning that Handling Performance and Comfort were a Big Selling point of thease Brilliant little cars.
The Racing Versions seen here in the pictures however are built for Racing. they use different tyres but still the same Legendary 1.3 Dura Tec Engine found in their Road Going Counterparts.
Lets Take a look at Qualifying and see which KA and Driver made it to the top step of the podium.

In First Place taking the Pole and Fastest Lap was (Octane Junkies Adam Smith and Martyn Smith) with a Best Lap Time of 1:03.495 and a Top Speed of 68.48mph. Fantastic Work Adam and Martyn Really Pushing the Car for all its worth.

This dwelling is sitauted securely within a lava cliff overlooking Sycamore Canyon. The view from within this dwelling is perhaps one of the most spectacular sights I have ever experienced in northern Arizona. One can reach this site by beginning at Chino Valley, Arizona. Heading north through the city of Chino Valley, turn right onto Arizona highway 70 or Perkinsville Road. Continue on Highway 70 until you reach National Forest Road 181 (4x4). Turn right and continue for twelve miles on this diaboloical passageway until you reach the trailhead for Sycamore Canyon. Instead of going on the trail into the canyon, turn right and cross a dry wash and climb about twenty minutes to the right up and over the lava saddle. Upon reaching the top, descend about two hundred meters towards the left and you will find these archaeological delights.
These structures were built and occupied in the early 1300's.
One final note, even for experienced hikers, a walking stick is strongly recommended. And, it is very wise to check the weather whilst driving in monsoon season as the last twelve miles can often be impassable from July through September..
