I liked the concept of Mattel's autistic Barbie a lot, so I made my own.

The Delaware & Hudson engine facility in East Binghamton yard is hosting a cross-section of secondhand locomotives from diverse sources and in varied paint schemes. A Susquehanna F45 and SD45 from the Burlington Northern share the sanding tracks with a Maine Central SD40 from Detroit Edison. To the left is a Springfield Terminal SD26 of Santa Fe origins.

Secondhand units CN 4935 & CN 4904 lead CN 500 out of the Port of Montreal on yet another cloudy day.

Five locomotives from three builders, all in the care of their second owners, get ready to go out on the road at the Delaware & Hudson’s East Binghamton engine terminal. At the far end are an EMD GP38-2 and two Alco C420’s, all inherited by the D&H from the Lehigh Valley as part of the formation of Conrail. The two Maine Central U23B’s, coincidentally, began life on the D&H, but were recently reappropriated as MEC assets by Guilford.

Stamped October, 1972. I can't find anything online to confirm my assumption that they're in sacks in order to restrain them from hurting each other.

Even as the Northwestern was buying secondhand Penn Central RS32's and repainting them, EMD's were making a strong showing on the Alco Line.

Freshly repainted 4244 leads a couple of invaders up the hill out of Rochester, MN. This engine spent the last few years of its Penn Central life working out of Rochester, NY so the city name should be familiar to it.

Fortunately for Alco fans, this and the other "modern" Alcos were transferred to Green Bay and enjoyed several more years of life in the company of the C628's working in Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula..
