Nearly all the big ones are cracked. Looks like somebody has been hitting them with a hammer or something. There's one stone marble, and three black glass marbles. Then there's a fourth very dark one, but when I held it up to the light I could see that it was green, not black.

I saw them in the secondhand store and I knew: "They must be mine!" I think they're made of stone because they are quite heavy. If you know anything about these figures, please let me know it.

The charity shop I work at recently recieved a donation of some equipment for the film camera I use, so I bought this flash.

Very small selection of second-hand gear. Staff quite unfriendly, bordering on rude. IMHO not worth a specific trip unless one happens to literally walk past the shop
Bought at a stoop sale in the panhandle two years ago for $5. It's a bit too big but I wear it anyway. Ivory cotton lace trim on the skirt and slightly flared sleeves.
Galerie Bortiers, an arcade that has only secondhand bookshops within it. An excellent range of books available, though very little in the way of English books.

From the haul earlier this week, a halter dress I got for Megan for her birthday. It was the usual $7.50 or whatever Goodwill charges, and I think it will fit her quite well, as it was roomy in the bust for me (alas). I had to resist the temptation to claim it for myself, but Shelby agreed it's perfect for M.
Witness also the hanger/hook thing M and I trash-picked last spring, and my wedding-present Timbuk-2 bag. And my arm, unfortunately.
