We haven’t been going out secondhand shopping much as most of our trips involve dropping things off to donate. We have been looking for some furniture items so we’ve had to stop out here and there. Today we found these two homemade actual wood shelves and while the color isn’t ideal, we’re going to dig around in our paint stores and repaint them tomorrow. We also found three small corner selves, also homemade, and we’re using two as speaker stands for our stereo and one on the stairs. We got all 5 pieces of furniture for less than $40. I also found this incredible hand stitched quilt. I fully plan on picking the blanket apart and using the fabric on a skirt idea I’ve been sourcing vintage fabric for. We also got this dish and mug, they won’t be for eating/drinking with but I have some ideas.

Man sollte sich besser zweimal überlegen was für einen Unsinn man sich auf T-Shirts drucken lässt, man weiß nie wo sowas landet.. :)

A couple of years ago, someone gave me a bag full of lenses and this camera. They assumed because I carried around a D80 that I actually knew something about photography. I didn't. I threw it in the garage. Dug it out today. Tempted to see what this old girl can do.

Browsing books in Kiama.

The previous owner told me that she and her husband saved up all their cigarette vouchers to get this set in the 60s.

Second hand this week: A book by Susan Sontag, a halternec tank top, a bedclothes with dog roses on, a see-through fabric in green, blue and pinks, an old school book for math, a zipper and a little table cloth flower thing.

I just got this 1997 edition (Published by Bay View Books ISBN 1 870979 93 1) which I have spent a couple of hours reading on a wet and windy day.

It covers may Coachbuilders I have never heard of, as well as famous ones like Gurney & Nutting, Vanden-Plas, Corsica, Swallow, HJ Mulliner, Hooper, Park Ward, Lancefield, Carbodies, Martin Walter, Harold Radford, Abbott, Tickford, Harrington, Barker and many more. Recommended!
