Halloween is now an international celebration even bigger than Christmas! I wanted to go to big parties with lots of avies.
We went to Ciudad de Mexico where the lag was so incredible, it took, I swear to gawd, at least 10 minutes to walk from the LM to the club. 106 avatars were there! I kept thinking... the sim is going to crash... the sim is going to crash. It didn't.
I never found out who the DJ was, though we asked several times both in English and in Spanish... there was just too many people, chat lag and who knows what else. But oh wow, I had a blast there.
Then, it was off to Organica, of course! Avies were dressed to the hilt with nods to popular Halloween icons. My angel sported his wings and so did many in the crowd. Andy Moon was there dancing with the crowd and he joined me and Xavier for a psy ball dance! Super fun!
My last stop for the night was Dance Island. I had to go in to say hello to all. Their big Halloween party crashed their sim... I have no idea how many people were there, but you get what I mean. Everyone was having so much fun... and I even saw an avie in an Obama costume encouraging everyone to vote!
The northern wall of the forecourt is formed by the second Great Pylon which stands 105 feet wide and 40 feet tall. It is set at a different angle than the first Pylon. An incline plane of shallow steps leads to the gateway between the towers.
On the left, or western tower, Ptolemy XII offers incense and dedicates sacrificial animals to Horus, Hathor and other gods. Above this are two small reliefs, horribly mutilated, depicting this king presenting a wreath to Horus and Nephthys and offering incense and pouring water on an altar in the presence of Osiris, Isis and Horus.
On the right, or eastern tower, there are similar scenes but in a much better state of preservation.
After the murder of his father, Osiris, Horus grew to manhood and overthrew the enemies of his father. Horus, as Pharaoh of Egypt, became the ancestor of all succeeding kings. It was therefore essential that each pharaoh on his accession should be recognized as a true descendant of Horus.
At the base of the eastern tower, part of the granite foundation of the original island protruded and this was carved into a stele on which Ptolemy VI Philometor, and his queen Cleopatra II stand before Isis and Horus. This stela was faithfully transferred to the new island with the rest of the temple. An inscription refers to the grant of the Dodekaschoinoi made to Isis, which brought the priests of Philae into parity with those of Elephantine. Dodekaschoinoi is a Greek word for "twelve schoinoi" A schoinos equaled about seven miles. It is not a measurement of area, but rather length, so presumably this meant that their foundation estate to finance the temple extended for about seven miles along the Nile River, including the arable land.

I've been building again. It's a nice way to just refocus on the beauty of the Second Life landscape making my rivers and waterfalls.
Some of the dj's send me url's to their stream so I listen, dance and build alone in the late night. Special thanks to Mr Widget & Jungle Vacano for their streams. I bet they didn't know I was building and dancing to their mixes. Sweet!
I made this small waterfall a few nights ago. Minimalist was the focus. I was trying for a more graphic, stylized look instead of my more normal natural attempts.
Laying in my sleeping bag, stars high in the sky, the Linden sky is peaceful and beautiful at night.

The A List! has settled into a nice niche of wonderful people, clubs, djs, musicians, sim owners, event planners, artists and creators.
But, the best part is that now both Xavi and I have our own resource for the best of the best in Second Life. I just wait to see that orange A List logo pop up and I know it's either going to be an outrageous party, an elegant ballroom affair, live music or a peaceful exploratory evening on a beautiful sim.
Bella Vida has disco night each month. They redecorate the place to reflect the times. It's always fun to pop in on that one.
Dance 4 Life is one of the newer clubs in Second Life. High above the NYC skyline on the rooftop, you can dance your night away in a beautiful, urban setting.
The other night I stopped off at TrueHouse. True to it's name, the house was sweet and fine. I stayed for quite a while... only taking one picture, 'cause the music was so good... I was so chilled.
DJ Benny Klang was at Haad Rin the other night. From Germany, Benny mixed some great tunes for the beach crowd there that night.
Daemon! We always shout when we hit the floor at Derailed on Sub Zero. Along with dj's Ware & Blabbermouth, DJ Daemon Chadeau is one of our favorite noize makers. We always have a great time there.
DJ Tasty was spinning late one night over at Electro Violence. So I hit the tp for a brief break from building. Always a great way to refocus on the build!
WET Builder Robertson sent a tp with a plea that he needed to take a break. Blackhearts club is a favorite for the 80's music lovers. DJ Thalie was spinning and I always love her sets.
Speaking of dj's, I just love DJ Space Grelling. He and Harriet greet everyone with a friendly smile and shout. And his sets are just so fun. I swear I could hang out at alt7 all day long! LOL!
Check out Bay Vista Live Music scene where you might catch Maxmillion Kleene singing his sweet songs with that mesmerizing voice. I stopped off one day, sitting at the table listening.
And finally, for those who need a romantic evening locked in each other's arms, head towards the legendary, Avilion Ballroom.
This old ship wreck is grounded amongst the mangroves on Shipwreck point at Homebush. Sunrise hit the wreck and lit it up for about 2 min, and then the sun dissappeared behind cloud. I managed to catch this shot before the sun dissappeared.

PACIFIC OCEAN (Jul 23, 2015) A Sailor observes as Landing Craft Utility (LCU) 1617, attached to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) ONE, is being secured in the well deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4).
