We went back to Disney's Animal Kingdom for a second visit to check out the Kilimanjaro Safari again - and since we learned how to use the Fast Pass system we also opted for Finding Nemo, the Musical. We had no idea what to expect but it ended up being a great Broadway type production - great costumes - very colorful. It was an abbreviated performance but we both agreed it was one of the main highlights of our visit to Disney World. If you have, check it out!

Not the best of conditions for photos that day - it had been overcast the entire day. I ended up only taking a handful of shots because the temperature dropped about 20 degrees and my 5 Finger toe shoes were not cutting it in the cold sand anymore.

So I took a quick mindclearing wander to the nearby RSPCA store and picked up the t-shirt AND cardigan for the grand total of $8. Oh yes I am happy.

about 3 1/2 hours. it's so nice to have some of it filled in, colored lines are so janky. still so red and swollen, my arms are so sensitive~

On Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, the Food Bank held it's second-annual 24-Hour Telethon in an effort to raise awareness, funds and food as part of Hunger Action Month. The event was hosted by Gregory Ng of the popular online frozen food review show, FreezerBurns, and streamed live through the Food Bank website.
Throughout Friday evening and into Saturday, the telethon was packed with fun activities starting with a Food Truck Rodeo, Social Media Mixer, and a Midnight Madness volunteer activity. We also had a dunk tank, late-night salsa dancing an early morning breakfast and interviews in between!
Through this event, over $50,000 was raised--that's more than double than the year before!
Our deepest thanks and gratitude to all of our donors and volunteers that helped make the event a huge success!
Little River Band is considered to be one of Australia’s most significant bands. Their impressive songwriting skills, powerful vocals, and masterful guitar harmonies immediately helped them claim their place as one of the great vocal bands of the 70s and 80s. Tonight was my second class and this is the result. I am not happy with it but I hope it tastes good. Everything the could go wrong went wrong with it. Hopefully I get all the bad ones out of the way before the wedding cake in September and thank goodness I won't be using this type of icing for it. Wilton course 1
This past weekend was full of events and parties on the Second Life grid! The Burning Life event, of course, was the highlight with the concentration of artists, musicians and performance artists working the BL grids. Our friends the Clams had a fun party featuring cupcake avies! So kewt! Xavier and I hung out there dancing and laughing with the cupcakes. We even got a free cupcake avie! So cool.
Lots of incredible builders creating such wonderful art, too. I especially loved the caterpillar at the Radar sim by Issum Mumfuzz... gawd... I just loved it!
Then, Xavi and I were off again to hear DJ ISI... he is truely a spectacular DJ! We hung out a Nutrie forever to catch ISI's set.
An awesome party event weekend... art, music, friends... what else could you ask for???

Nod and I finally went in this coffeehouse while everyone was at the game this afternoon. He got a hot chocolate and I got a chai which was Amazing! Only $3.50 for both! When I got home I looked up what the Second Wind Coffee House was....

A Campus Corner coffee shop run by Norman’s First Presbyterian Church is hoping to reach beyond just church members. This nonprofit, nonalcoholic hangout one of the most favorable locations in Norman to listen to live music.
"It’s kind of been a place for the university students in the church to hang out, but then it snowballed,” said Josh Hammel, an intern at the church. "Now we’re kind of in a transitional phase where we’re trying to become a part of the community.”
I am not a Christian person, though I do think this idea was a good one..

The 38th Machida City Doubles Tennis Tournament was held on last week for 1R through 3R, and today we had quarter-final, semi-final, and final. This year I joined the class-B tournament, and it's been over a year since I joined a tournament before. Our club team was broken up by some reason (no young guy joined the team x_x), my tennis school was closed due to inheritance tax problem, and another school was closed due to serious damage by the massive earthquake. I need to find the next place to play tennis.
Anyway, this tournament was a fresh start for me. We lost the match in the final, but I think it's not too bad. I believe I can do more!

I stumbled upon Organica many moons ago while searching for a no-drama free zone. At the time, I was filled with a personal sorrow and needed to reach out to those who loved life and people.
I found it one night in a grassy meadow facing an Asian wooden structure. Inside, a dj was spinning magic. Goa sounds were mesmerizing and tantalizing. So addictive and spiritual, the music captured my heart and soul.
That was my introduction to dj Thomtrance O"Toole, one of the founders of Happy Clam Island. That same night, I heard dj Qee Nishi, too. Psy sounds so intense that I was riveted to the place and didn't leave for hours.
The intimate and natural setting was so simple that it defied explaining to others what I had found there. Not just a club, but a total experience. And soon, I became a proud member of HCI.
Major events happen regularly, but my favorite is the solstice parties. A line-up of dj's at the recent winter solstice drew so many dj's, club owners, artists and party people that most of us could hardly move due to lag. Someone shouted out that 56 people were at the party. WOW!
I arrived in time to hear the end of dj Shiori Carter's set. I must hear her more. She is a wonderful dj and brings the psy with a passion. Healer Ladybird was next. I love her sets and she plays at many places on the grid including Piranha, another favorite club.
Shad Raffke was up with a powerful set and most know her as the owner of Piranha, a popular club that all of us frequent. Then, came dj Thomtrance, the goa master who started my journey towards this happy place.
At 10 PM, dj Qee Nishi took over. Qee is the queen of psy and probably the best psy dj in Second Life. Her fans are legendary as they will follow her anywhere! I spotted her in a new avie skin and clothes. She looked fabulous!
Alexi Ayres followed Qee with a powerful presence. Her avie was a stunning creature-like wolverine with a firey spike at the forehead. Fierce, Alexi presents a program artistically designed to create an atmosphere. She is a performance artist.
The burn started slowly, climbing up the feet... then the legs... and finally engulfing the entire wicker man. A paper airplane flew around the straw man waving a banner proclaiming "LOVE", a wonderful sentiment in time for the holidays.
The crowd was in a frenzy of dancing and joyful shouts. Gestures were streaming so fast, that it was hard to keep up reading them, chatting in IM's and taking pictures.
I crashed at least 3 - 4 times but always came back more refreshed than ever. Each time I came back, I could work even more diligently on the camera. (Nice to have it working again!)
Second Life is an amazing place full of surprises and beauty. Happy Clam Island is one of those spots. A precious sim full of wonderful and thoughtful people. I thank Thom, Finn, Alexi, Elpis and Rebecca for having the vision to create such an awesome place. I am honored to be a Clam!
