The KWT Railway runs several miles up a branch towards Gleason, TN to serve two industries.
The second to last industry, HC Spinks Clay Company, is the busiest of the two, and brings in the bulk of the traffic for this end of the line. The spur to the right is the Southern switch point of the double-ended industrial lead.
Here, the two KWT Geeps pull straight through before switching 40+ cars of clay.
Members of the Second Division photographed in Germany during the occupation. The private with the two chevrons was overseas for at least one year. Since the date of the postcard is January 1919, this soldier was a veteran of the various actions in which this division participated.

First breakfast was Greek yoghurt with blueberries and walnuts. Second breakfast was going to be scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on toast. But in between, I'd bought some fresh bread that was still warm and it seem a pity to toast it, hence what's in the pic.
This can also be for the 365 treasure hunt, number 68 thick.
A weightless second.
For a change, something different, again. Probably I've read to much about "Are, Bure, Boke" the last few days, but it really inspired me. This one somehow speaks to me. On the christmas market near to me there is a trampoline for children. I loked, I remembered: This moment when up in the air and you feel basically weightless. As a child you probably don't know that these experiences are scarce and somehow (for most uf us) limited to childhood. I cannot remember when I was on a trampoline the last time, except that thing that they have in the physiotherapy practice to train your balance ... oh well ...
My second circus cake. The mother wanted it to like the most similar to my previous one that it could, stressing the fact that she desired the clown to look identical (even though I tried to convince her to change the colors, at least). The harder part was to make his pose, but I think it looks similar enough.
Everything was made with gumpaste.

Just got home after a hectic day at work, going to stuff some food, then off to my first seminar at uni when I'd really much rather be invited to the pub. Sucks.

I ran across this shot from Feb, 2007 this morning while looking through some back-up Zip files. Just one of those shots that gets passed over in favor of a better shot from that day. I found it strange that I didn't even recognize it as mine...I almost always remember every shot that I've taken. Also strange that I now like this one better than the one I passed it over for...
At any rate, I thought this one deserved a second chance...
I hope everyone is having a great Easter weekend...^+^

The horizontal window is one of the essential features of our house. Reinforced concrete provides a revolution in the history of the window. Windows can run from one end of the facade to the other.
BSSR-House - 'Minimum to the Max!' - is about simplicity. Minimalist effect in a Maximalist world.
Stay hungry, stay foolish. A review.
Understand minimalism as a way of thinking about space: its proportions, its surfaces, and the fall of light. The vision is comprehensive and seamless, a quality of space rather than forms; places, not things. This is why, in its fullest and most satisfying expression, it is not something that you can readily acquire a piece of. It is about making the best possible contexts for the things that matter in life, on paring back the accretions of surface and behaviour to what is essential. The glory lies not in the act of removal, but in the profound - and pleasurable - experience of what is left.
