My second circus cake. The mother wanted it to like the most similar to my previous one that it could, stressing the fact that she desired the clown to look identical (even though I tried to convince her to change the colors, at least). The harder part was to make his pose, but I think it looks similar enough.
Everything was made with gumpaste.

Jesus falls for the second time

This painting nearly constitutes its own Stations of the Cross, evoking several episodes in Jesus’ tormented path to Golgotha. Jesus passes his mother Mary, who wipes away a tear, Veronica presents her veil, and the women of Jerusalem gather in prayer. A man with a rope tugs Jesus towards the cross in the distance, while another holds his fist aloft, as if already preparing to nail his victim down. Amidst this swirl of activity, Jesus—clad in a strangely pristine pastel robe—serenely falls to the ground. Crammed with figures, the composition should feel hectic. And yet Bassano deploys every feature, from gestures and gazes to billowing fabric, to guide the eye in a smooth, circular sweep. What should be a moment of grimy degradation exudes a tranquil sense of perfection. Even before he dies and rises again, it seems as though Jesus’ has already transcended mortal matter.

The second Edinburgh Waverley - Motherwell ECS is seen travelling slowly between Craigentinny and Portobello Junction as it slows to take the the line for the 'Sub' at Portobello Junction. This is running as 5G02 and is being hauled by 68007 on the 14th November 2017. It is seen at 0908
I did manage to catch a second shot of 92044 working the delayed 1S26. Having set up my other camera on the tripod at the bridge, I got back here due to the signals being against 1S26 due to a Scotrail service being in front of it.
92044 is passing Inveresk at 0744 with the delayed London Euston - Edinburgh/Glasgow Sleeper

Second Beach is about a hour's drive south, then east of Cairns. It is one of only a few places along the mainland east coast of Queensland where you can watch the sun set across the ocean!

When I see things like this in second hand shops I always wonder... "who was the owner?" "how many pictures did they take?" "what kind of pictures?"

Hotfoot from Harrington I headed for Seascale to grab a shot of the Saturday 6C53 Crewe - Sellafield.
I knew that this was a pair of 37s so it was worth squeezing it in before starting my backshift.
With no time to get south of Barrow where the orientation of the coastal line is more photo-friendly I knew I'd have to live with a fair degree of backlighting.
Nos.37688 and 37610 approach the footbridge at the golf club with a pair of FNAs.
