POBLE ESPANYOL, BARCELONA, SPAIN

Poble Espanyol in Barcelona was constructed for the World Exposition of 1929 with the intention of demonstrating the architecture and essence of the Spanish culture with the intention of recreating a traditional Iberian town that represents the buildings, squares and streets of different places in Spain. The initial plan was to disassemble it after the Exposition, however its huge public success resulted in it being maintained until today as one of the most attractive things to do in Barcelona.

really not sure what I was going for here

Welcome to the shitshow! My second flickr just for dumb shit. This is your warning, it only gets worse from here. Buckle up, or block me.

After the split of GM Buses in the early 90s the Northern bit got the rough end of the deal where minbuses were concerned. The Dodge S56 'Little Gems' were seriously past their best, if indeed they had ever had a best and replacements were sought in the form of MCW Metroriders that were sourced secondhand from a number of fleets. Although the Metrorider was not without its faults GM Buses North started a refurbishment programme and adressed the corosion problem that beset the buses.

Following the First Bus takeover the refurb programme was stopped and nearly new Mercedes Benz minis with Plaxton bodies arrived from Yorkshire Rider. These were a vast improvement and were pretty well recieved, but (theres always a 'but' in stories like this) there wasn't enough to go around. Oldham had Mercs inherited from Citibus, Bolton had Ivecos that came from the same source. What did we get at Wigan, cascaded Dodges from First Centrewest! In fairness Bolton also recieved them as well but after spending a good few years ridding the fleet of Dodges the bastard things were back! These were the bigger S75 version and had Wright bodywork. They took a fleetnumber series that had ironically been used previously by home grown Dodges. The bodywork may be different but they were just like the last ones, boiling in summer, freezing in winter and seriously lacking in power. One time London Buses RW29 is seen at Garswood on a 604 service, now numbered 1908 in the First Manchester fleet.

The World Today did an "outside broadcast" from a virtual studio in Second Life, with the presenter as one Avatar and the Studio Manager as another (to be able to listen to the Presenter). guests were invited in and intreviewed - although the chat didn't work for some of them and we had to Skype them instead

the second try with my new ND filter... the "fast" moveing object is a ship...

Rebelle is a second hand clothing store located in the south west part of France, in the charming town of Carcassonne. Here is a close look at my 2021 collabs with their customers who happen to be their models. This is a tribute to them. I hope this selection will entertain you for the sake of photography.

It's been a while since I have posted on Flickr. There has been little time for photography and what time I have had has been blighted by poor weather. A long weekend in the Lakes District was a washout - here's hoping for an Indian summer!

Someone has just finished a superb job of refurbishing this incredible second empire house on the east side of Norwalk, Ohio. The color choices on the trim are subtle and perfectly configured.

The house was built in 1875 and is located at 131 E Main St in Norwalk, Ohio:
