Our boat was able to get in very close to the seals on the rocks, on our way to Staple Island. The seals seemed just as interested in us, as we were in them. Unfortunately a lot of my shots weren't entirely sharp, as the boat was both moving forwards and bobbing up and down in the swell but this and the ones in the comment are about the best of them.

This location opened on July 26th, 2016 and closed in January 2025; it was originally a Fine's Men's Shop, which opened on March 5th, 1980 and closed in fall 1986. It became a Lechters in winter 1987, which closed in 1997, a Contempo Casuals in spring 1998, and a Wet Seal in 2001, which closed on January 7th, 2015.
We spent a few days in Lincolnshire and visited Donna Nook to see the seals and the pupping grounds.
We like the seals endured the attention of Abigail and Kate . Abagail with her string cold winds and Kate later with the heavy rain driven by Abigail’s winds.
The seals seemed unaffected but we certainly felt the elements but it was worth the discomfort.
This mum having carried her pop for twelve months was now addressing the vital need for bonding.
On the way down to Paso Robles we stopped to visit the elephant seals in San Simeon. They are always entertaining!
