These wild seals live next to a fish processing plant. The workers there feed them, so they have become used to humans being around.

Looking closely at the seals, you can see they differ. Habanos S.A. has decided not to focus on the placement of the seal. If you look closely, the fake box's edge is centered in the middle of the Cuban Coat of Arms; the real seal is not folded in the center. In fact, Habanos S.A. is not focusing on that anymore. There may be some boxes out there which has the seal centered, but for the most part the placement is not important anymore.
The real seal is on top. It measures 37mm in width and it is a pronounced green color.
The fake seal measures 35mm in width and it has a bluish tint on it.

This seal was found and photographed on the River Lagan in the middle of Belfast city, on a lunch time walk from the office. The Black headed Gulls kept bomarding it, hitting it on the head as it swam along. In the end it turned over a swam upside down to give less of a target area. It must be a good sign of life for the river there is enough prey attract these guys into the city. Unfortunately the light was poor but nice to see.
Press and seal for the Burgh of Bathgate.
The first Burgh Council of Bathgate was elected in 1824 by the burgesses - those who had paid one pound or more towards the expenses of making Bathgate a burgh. Burgh status allowed the formation of a council which could assess the inhabitants (i.e. levy rates) to provide water, street cleansing, paving and lighting and policing. Until the passing of the Burgh Police (Scotland) Act of 1833, an Act of Parliament was necessary to confer burgh status.
The Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 formally abolished burghs and their functions were taken over by Lothian Regional Council and West Lothian District Council in 1975.

Gosh, I wonder why they call it "Seal Bay"?
You can take guided ranger walks along the beach to see the Australian sea lions (Neophoca cinerea), which are actually seals. One of the most endangered pinnipeds in the world, there are estimated to be only 10,000 left in the wild.
This was on Kangaroo Island, off the southern Australian coast.
