Along the seafront are beautiful villas that were built at the end of the 19th century when the craze for 'sea-bathing began'.
The villas not only have an attractive display of architectural features such as patterned wooden balconies, large bay windows and interesting shaped roofs - they are also painted in a wide-range of different colours.

This part of the beach has a shingle incline protecting a large water pond. It's at White Point Beach, Nova Scotia. I was attracted to the striking cloud formations and the dead trees. Processed with Nik Silver Efex.
Located on Brighton seafront, this bandstand first opened in 1884. It was restored to its original specification and reopened in 2009 and is now licenced for weddings and Civil ceremonies.
Not an angle I've taken before, this was taken from the inner harbour breakwater.
Its been heavily cropped, top and bottom, but I'm quite happy with the result.
As I stood up after lying down to photograph the seagulls this view caught my attention. And I thought this is too good to pass. Click! Freeze the moment in this frame here.
