Brighton Seafront.
A view from Brighton Pier.
Palace Pier or Brighton Pier.
Grade ll* listed.
The only surviving pier in Brighton, this 1,760-foot structure replaced the wrecked Chain Pier.
Designed by Richard St George Moore (1858-1926).
Built by Arthur Mayoh of Manchester, 1891-99.
Features include various pavilions, kiosks with pagoda-style roofs and a funfair.
I liked this panorama of Southend Seafront taken from the pier. I was pleased with the boats in the foreground and the colours of the seafront trading establishments. I also like the fact that you can see three of the lighting towers equally spaced along the horizon.
