Along the seafront are beautiful villas that were built at the end of the 19th century when the craze for 'sea-bathing began'.
The villas not only have an attractive display of architectural features such as patterned wooden balconies, large bay windows and interesting shaped roofs - they are also painted in a wide-range of different colours.
Clevedon is an English seaside town in Somerset. It lies along the Severn Estuary and features in the Domesday Book of 1086.
Clevedon grew in the Victorian period as a seaside resort and in the 20th century as a dormitory town for Bristol.
The seafront has ornamental gardens, a Victorian bandstand and other attractions including the Marine Lake
Clevedon Pier, which opened in 1869, is one of the earliest surviving examples of a Victorian pier. On 17 October 1970, two outward spans collapsed when the seventh set of legs from the shore failed during a routine insurance load test. A trust was eventually formed and the pier and its buildings were restored and reopened on 27 May 1989, when the Waverley paddle steamer berthed and took on passengers.

This part of the beach has a shingle incline protecting a large water pond. It's at White Point Beach, Nova Scotia. I was attracted to the striking cloud formations and the dead trees. Processed with Nik Silver Efex.
Located on Brighton seafront, this bandstand first opened in 1884. It was restored to its original specification and reopened in 2009 and is now licenced for weddings and Civil ceremonies.
This definitely has to be one of the best looking seafronts in the whole of the country, well I think so anyway!

Not an angle I've taken before, this was taken from the inner harbour breakwater.
Its been heavily cropped, top and bottom, but I'm quite happy with the result.
As I stood up after lying down to photograph the seagulls this view caught my attention. And I thought this is too good to pass. Click! Freeze the moment in this frame here.
