RTF561L was a Leyland Leopard PSU5/4R / Alexander M Type C46Ft purchased new by Ribble as their 701 in December 1972, and was the only non-Scottish customer M Type built. It later passed to North Western and National Travel before sale to Black and White of Scunthorpe. It then worked for Whiteheads Coaches/Sports Tours of Rochdale before being taken by Rennie's as a trade-in. It was resold to Thorn Babcock AAC Pitreavie and was on a visit to Hampden Park.
L86 CNY was one of a number of former Bebb Volvo B6 Marshall buses to find their way into the Road Car fleet where it gained number 386. On 18th September, 2001, I came across it in Scunthorpe.

These two tanks were being delivered from Flixborough Wharf, to the BOC plant on Warren Road in Scunthorpe, and had come via Gunness Straight roundabout, Kingsway, Queensway, and are seen here on Brigg Road, passing the British Steel plant to the left, when there were still railway sidings along the roadside - June 1988.
Seen shining in the low October sun, DB Schenker makes its way through Hatfield and Stainforth station with 6O26 Scunthorpe Redbourne Sidings - Dollands Moor on 31st October 2013.
60001 will take the train as far as Doncaster Decoy where a 92/66 will replace for the remainder of the journey.
In the background is Hatfield Colliery. Earlier this year, this section of track was closed due to a landslide however is now back up and running.

Cooling tower at Scunthorpe Steelworks power station which runs on blast furnace and Basic Oxygen Steelmaking gas. There are several more cooling towers across the steelworks site.
On its last leg to the bus station is Lincolnshire RCC's 2514 (VFE 963) a 1964 Bristol FS5G, with ECW LD33/27RD, body.
Scunthorpe's four blast furnaces within the steel works, named after Queens of England - Queen Victoria, Queen Anne,Queen Mary and Queen Bess.

As usual, 4 Grids were on the Coal circuit namely 56058,059,062 and 106 and here is the Loadhaul lovely arriving at the reception sidings with a loaded train from Immingham Bulk 1. The vast Coal Handling Point (CHP) for the adjacent steelworks dominates the skyline - 16th October 2003. More Images from this day are already in my 2003 Album
