66121 passes Scunthorpe with a Milford sidings to Humber International terminal empty biomass train on 9th February 2015
After working on the Hull Fair runs Stagecoach decided to repaint 10901 into the new Interconnect livery as I assume that's where all the East Midlands repaints happen so it made sense to repaint it whilst it was up there as the Gainsborough based E400mmc's don't go anywhere near Hull unless on loan or working on the fair runs etc.

Humber International Terminal - Drax Power Station coal passes the station on the main. It was 45 late and arrived as the Lincoln service was due to leave, fortunately for me it stayed on the main rather than going down the avoider, and was drawing to a stop just by the bridge, hence my getting a night shot on the open main line.
Somone stopped while I was waiting to make sure I wasn't going to throw myself under a train (not sure I could have leapt over the parapet in any case). Good to know people look out for each other in Scunthorpe.

A predominantly industrial town and home to the UK's largest steel processing centre.
It is also know as the 'Industrial Garden Town' and there is certainly a lot of colour to see as you drive around.
For an industrial town I found it surprisingly pleasant and attractive.
