A model of the Predator from the film series. The height is 33 cm excluding the lance; if the Predator is about 2 metres tall, that makes the scale about 1:6. The basis is a vinyl kit from Thailand. The lance is mainly scratchbuilt from steel rod. The dreadlocks are made from Sculpy Superflex. Paints are acrylics and Humbrol metallic steel.
Sculpting with voxels in Coat3D. There are a number of tools, additive and subtractive strokes, a sphere brush, a means of pulling out spikes, a move brush, smoothing brush, something called snake, which seems similar to clay splines in other programs.
There are also a number of materials to choose from while sculpting, including wax and sculpy like materials, cavity shaded bronze, copper, pewter and a red wax that seems almost identical to the Default material in ZBrush.
I built this model over 40 years ago as a prop for a Super 8 film project. Over the years it got pretty beat up and lost some teeth. I made the missing teeth out of Sculpy, then sanded and primed it. I finished it with Krylon Gloss Dover White, shaded it with raw umber water based oil, then dull coated it.
My friend Bryan & I placed "Sculpy" (the sculpture I made) in the K-State Union parking lot at 3 a.m. one day, unapproved and unsolicited. It remained for a couple years.
Here, my dad and brother and I finally take Sculpy down, as they're building a new parking garage on the premises.
This is my Pink Bunny Robot sculpture. It goes along with some previous art work and a story line I'm working on. This will hopefully be a prototype for a Vinyl Toy in the future.
Under it's soft pink exterior there is a ruthless robot with 3 antennas in her 3 ears and lots of other special electronic works.
She is approximately 4 inches tall and made with Sculpy clay. She has the end of her sword in her hand. Her favorite weapon on or off her Hoover Toilet.
Made out of blue and purple Fimo with a clear / orange cat's eye marble and a brown rock.
The wings were made with Liquid Sculpy so that they would be translucent and flexible.
Approx. Dimensions: 1.75" H x 1.5" W x 3" D
I met Helena www.flickr.com/photos/helenatmfeijoo/2636570302/ in Amsterdam on sunday the 20th of july. It was a great pleasure and i injoyed the time ;o) Presented her this little elf - so he will hit the road to Mexico. Godspeed!
A new experiment, way labor intensive, but kinda fun. The red fimo has a touch of glitter to it, and then I decided to spot the beads a little. They came out interesting
Sculpey on wire and foil armature.
The crow body is complete and awaiting wings and legs. The feathers are prepped to go onto a wired wing base.
I am messing with spraypaint.... and a design by Camo, well I stretched it out a bit, and I need to add tons of more paint, like eyes and mouth and such, (which I'll do with stencils or brush or course), this was just my first coat, I did all three colors real quick together, and even misted a couple together, (experimenting) ;)
the handmade flower is made by this cool guy down at the downtown mall, he makes them from some other plants stalking, (that would work great for wicker baskets and such). He doesn't ask money for them, just gives them out, and accepts 'offerrings', (how cool is that) One day I saw him making crickets and other things with the same material... I'll have to get one next time i c him...
Brooches for the master and commander. Both were cast in resin from a sculpt in super sculpy. The silver was primed and sprayed silver with a dusting of black. Then black acrylic in the corners for weathering and pewter rub and buff for the highlights.
The bronze one had bronze powder added to the cast and was then polished with a Dremel. Black acrylic was added in the corners for weathering. Both were then sealed in gloss mod podge.

I've been working on a 1/64th scale sculpture of a 1975 Mercury Bobcat in Sculpy. I'm sculpting it using a road test article from a 1975 Road & Track magazine for reference. This is an in progress photo.
This little guy is sitting on a nickel to show how itty he is. He will be my necklace once he's baked and his face has been painteed on. He's the first of this type I've made and he's a bit lopsided but I don't care. I can see myself making more of these until I get really good at it.
