Script version of the main logo for clothing brand Magnetiq Eleven. Originally hand-drawn custom lettering digitized/vectorized for print/embroidery needs. Project developed between November 2010 and February 2011.
I was tagged by the wise old sage @ignoblin to do this #TwentyTunesOnShuffle ... I was afraid to do this bc I'm fairly out of touch with music- the last time I really cared about music I was maybe 24 or 25? Nowadays I have picked up on a few bands here n there that I like but I'm just not an educated music listener anymore. So the music on my iPhone is vast, more vast than this 20 will show (surprisingly it hit none of the 80s hair bands in my library). But here it is... 1) Pain- Jimmy Eat World

Designed by Panos Vassillou, this typeface was designed with connected characters and capitals with calligraphic elements. One of my favourite things about this building is that when you look closely at the intricate decoration on every surface, you realise that it is not just geometric patterns but also Arabic script.
As you can tell by the dates in the top-right, this basic script was something I kept referring to as I tried to "steer" how much of the film's plot was conveyed in the trailer. I didn't want it to be too 'wordy', as a lot of the horror is dependent on the characters themselves not knowing what is happening most of the time. I feel this script is a good example of that planning coming into effect (much of this dialogue can still be heard in some form or another in the final trailer).
