This piece (already sold but if you would like to commission something similar please feel free to get in contact - price £80 UK sterling) is from a small and playful body of paintings and drawings, based upon my sketchbook work.

The series was originally conceived as a limited run of mini artworks for the Rob Pruitt's Flea Market pop-up project which took place at the A Plus A Gallery during the opening week of the 2015 Venice Biennale.

However, because of the positive response to the work, and because they've been fun to work on, I've decided to continue the series for a little longer. I also like the fact that they offer a fun and affordable way of collecting small but original pieces from my body of work, without having to pay the £2000-£20000 price tag that my larger pieces fetch in the galleries.

The majority of the paintings and drawings in this series are executed on 20 x 15 cm blocks (some pieces vary in size so please feel free to email me for the exact dimensions) of 1.8 cm thick plywood, and designed to hang unframed, as wall plaques.

All pieces in this series are signed and dated. For further info email waynechisnall@yahoo.co.uk

PS. This is a great idea, Lisa, thanks !

On April 18th of 2015, my hometown of Ermelo (The Netherlands), celebrated its 70th anniversary year of the liberation from occupation by Nazi Germany during the Second World War.

On this exact day, seventy years ago, Canadian soldiers came into town via the Putterweg, hit a roadblock and met with some German resistance.

Today, festivities included a re-enactment of the fighting and liberation, in which cadets of the Royal Military School (the KMS in Ermelo) were dressed in period-accurate Canadian uniforms and ran through the Putterweg, guns blazing.

There was lots of music, a static show of military vehicles and demonstrations of armaments and equipment by our own armed forces; the 400th Medical Battalion (400 GNKBAT), 45th Mechanized Infantry Battalion (45 PAINFBAT RIOG), Communications (Regiment Verbindingstroepen) and one of the Engineering Battalions (Genie).

Thinking about turning them into something for a charity project. Amazing how quickly a baby influences everything!

Tidying up the scribble

This is Bad Cop / Good Cop.

He is Lord Business’s #1 henchman, whose loyalty is tested when he is forced to turn on his own parents. As the Lego Movie story unfolds, it is apparent that there can be a Good Cop inside him as well.

Bad Cop may be a mean and ruthless bully, but he has a Good Cop half too – or at least he did until Lord Business used a powerful relic to erase his nice side’s face to keep his henchman’s conscience from getting in the way of his evil plans.

After he was abandoned by Lord Business during his escape from the self-destructing tower Bad Cop helps Wyldstyle and the Master Builders fight Lord Business' forces and draws on a new Good Cop side with a marker.

When the Kragle* has been destroyed, Bad Cop reunites with his parents, Pa and Ma Cop!

I am getting training today at the company. However, I am very bored. I drew Creo on the notebook.

I saw so much hype about Tulips puffy paint, I bought this on sale at Michael’s, since I was running out of the Scribbles.

Scribbles - fine tip for Barbie things, paint is firm.

Tulip - wide tip and runny and drying time is longer.

IV. Misplaced Rendezvous

It's getting late,

for scribbling and scratching on the paper.

Something's gonna give under this pressure,

And the cracks are already beginning to show,

It's too late.
