This version of Batman has been tweaked a little to fit in with the Scribblenauts universe. My fiancee ended up buying several "blind-boxes" for these little guys while looking for this one in particular. Regardless, he's here now and in front of my camera.
The difficulty of shooting this figurine was managing the reflections that his round read threw off from my lighting. It took some fiddling but I got it, eventually. To me, even though this guy is actually vinyl, he looks almost like a wood carving. I guess that it has to do with the matte paint and size.
I had to scribble myself in order to fix the fact that my arms were covering my shirt and I looked naked! then, I started tattooing myself with the pen as well. :p
Finished this piece, worked on it mostly as a 15 minutes a day project. More about it on my blog therosejournal.blogspot.com/2014/08/almost.html
The distinctive "scribbles" on the trunk of this scribbly gum (Eucalyptus haemastoma) crossed by lines of slowly falling sap.
Scribbles on the trunk of one of the species of a group of trees known as Scribbly Barks. Eucalyptus haemostoma, Eucalyptus sclerophylla or Eucalyptus racemosa.
The gum tree sheds it's bark each year. The scribbles were made by beetle larvae under the bark the previous year.
Working on a couple of Halloween cards for my great nieces.

This piece (already sold but if you would like to commission something similar please feel free to get in contact - price £80 UK sterling) is from a small and playful body of paintings and drawings, based upon my sketchbook work.
The series was originally conceived as a limited run of mini artworks for the Rob Pruitt's Flea Market pop-up project which took place at the A Plus A Gallery during the opening week of the 2015 Venice Biennale.
However, because of the positive response to the work, and because they've been fun to work on, I've decided to continue the series for a little longer. I also like the fact that they offer a fun and affordable way of collecting small but original pieces from my body of work, without having to pay the £2000-£20000 price tag that my larger pieces fetch in the galleries.
The majority of the paintings and drawings in this series are executed on 20 x 15 cm blocks (some pieces vary in size so please feel free to email me for the exact dimensions) of 1.8 cm thick plywood, and designed to hang unframed, as wall plaques.
All pieces in this series are signed and dated. For further info email waynechisnall@yahoo.co.uk
