Blue screen of death on an airport departure board - interesting to note the rotation of the display.

Although it not immediately apparent from the picture I'd rate the N86 screen as marginally better than the N85. They're both, of course, a big step up from the backlit LCD screens used in earlier devices.
What a fantastic day as science fiction and movie fans from all over the North East got to meet at North Shields. It was a fantastic day and my personal highlight was a meeting with the legendary David Warner. Loved meeting up with old friends and meeting some new ones too

Some of the older houses in Cairo have these beautiful screen porches on the outside. Traditionally (still now, perhaps?), women were not allowed to leave the house. These patios allowed them to look outside without being seeing by those on the street. Oddly, this is a Muslim custom, but I saw this screen in the Coptic quarter of the city
part of the background for the large collaborative piece....consisting of a random scrap of test canvas found lying around and an old screen that was used for a few prints
Abby was inside my screened porch......I was outside and took a photo throught the screen, cropped it and noticed it had kind of a canvas like portrait look from the screen material....things never cease to amaze me......natural texture I guess ! I like to play around with things like this that I stumble on by accident . It does also resemble cross stitch embroidery as well.
A still from Screen Tests.
The film unfolds as series of Andy Warhol-like screen tests, slowly revealing the location and the occupation of those before the camera - students, professors and models from the Manchester School of Art in the 1930's.
screen three of three - the skin -
this screen will be used to lay down the detail color that will define the face, hands, chest and feet.

There is a legend in Beijing that tells how once the city was plagued by sandstorms, caused by an evil witch and her apprentice. Their efforts to bury the city were twarthed by two kindly dragons, disguised as an old couple living in the city. They used their powers of thunder and rain and drove the witch and her apprentice away towards the desert, never to return.
Many years, later, sandstorms came again and the people of Beijing built a screen of iron, depictig the two dragons, and placed it in front of Deshengmen, the city gate facing the desert. The screen, imbued by the power of the image of the dragons, protected the city and saved it once again.
Then the modern days arrived, and people no longer believed the tales of old, and rather followed the tenets of science. In order to enlarge the roads, the Iron Screen was moved inside Beihai Park and forgotten by most of the citizens.
Since then, sandstorms have got worse year after year.
