Macro Mondays: "Liquid" theme
I sprayed water on a window screen and held the LP cover of The Beatles' 1967 "Magical Mystery Tour" album behind the screen as I took the shot. Where the water filled the gaps between the screen openings, you see an inverted refracted view of the cover. A photo of the album cover itself is in the first comment box.

It was late afternoon on the 6th Floor of the Whitney Museum, and I was waiting for the elevator. I noticed several people silhouetted against the light streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Soon there was just one person, and as I casually clicked the shutter, the window shades started to lower. The man here was focused on his phone and didn't notice that I took his photo. On the television screen was a video (which I didn't watch) of a city skyline across water, strategically positioned in front of this window, overlooking the Hudson River and the Hoboken, New Jersey skyline. The Whitney is exhibiting the Biennial right now, delayed a year by COVID, and a docent told me the 6th floor is deliberately dark and broken up into a warren of dark, tiny rooms, meant to represent the isolation of the first year of COVID's social isolation. Chance lives in a place where he has live access to all kinds of wildlife viewing all day long. He makes his way from the patio door to various windows to twitch his tail and pounce on the screens and windows. However just like any teenager he runs like hell when he hears a utube video on my phone or TV and would sit for hours of viewing if I let him. I usually allow him some screen time when I do the dishes because he is also enthralled with running water and will not leave me or my sink alone. If I sit him down on the table with my phone, I can get the dishes done in peace and remain dry.

The warm colors of the sunrise were mostly hidden, except for a small slot on the horizon that kept squeezing smaller as the clouds moved south down the Lake.
