Stone parclose screens enclose the Van Cutsem memorial chapel, all by Sir Ninian Comper, c.1917-31. However, the statues in the screen are more recent, and not by Comper.
One of my first transparent screens. The colors are way off. It's a bit out of alignment. I think I got the alignment figured out - just have to work on matching the color beter.
Erected in 1484, the Great Screen or reredos in St Alban's Cathedral is a medieval masterpiece although the statues are Victorian replacements for the original statues destroyed at the Reformation.
To the left of this is the chantry chapel of Abbot Thomas Ramryge (d.1521) which is described as "amongst the finest [chantry chapels] in the country". On the right is the chantry of Abbot Wallingford (d.1484).

Ok, it could be I've read too much science fiction, but I can't help thinking these two screens and whatever is above them (maybe cams, but I am not sure) look like robotic beings. Pretty old hardware it looks, but quite effective to entertain a kid accompanied by his mother, as I could witness.
And thanks again to the Natural History Museum and its Cocoon section for the chance it gave to trigger my photographic curiosity :)

Rehabilitation of a vintage design Tv screen in polycarbonate
(French TV Téléavia PA 441 dating from 1973 ... design by Roger Tallon )
Picture as the TV appeared on Ebay when it goes on sale ...
"The screen seemed very dirty and dusty ... but, just Dirty !!! ... "
I asked the Ebay seller what was the real state of the TV ...
and seller had said that nothing was scratched or broken ... "Really ???"
Obviously ... the screen is not scratched or broken ...
... he was just burned by cleaning with a solvent very biting !!!
" thank you to the seller for his SPECIAL honesty ...
he "just" some memory problem ... and interpretation of technical terms ... Hum, hum ..."
Detail of a defunct Compaq laptop. The screen on this thing had seen better days. Makes me think that someone jumped up and down on this puppy.
Dollhouse screen front. Frame treated with crackle, painted gold and rubbed with raw umber oil paint. Gold doesn't show as shiny as it is in real life, camera doesn't pick up sparkle and shine too well. Laser printed fabric of rococo tapestry was used.
