Day One of "Scratch Camp" during spring break in the Jocelyn H. Lee Innovation Lab. Today's challenge was to program a 'pong' game using Scratch and then design and build a novel controller using Makey Makeys and the usual assortment of foil, cardboard, etc. Achievement unlocked!
scratch built model spaceship from the late 70's. This has a hanger bay in the front and guns on the bottom also. The dark spot about 3/4 toward the back is a tiny fighter that has crashed into a turret.
I'm not posting this for fav's, I just wanted to show what ringworm looks like.
We found several small sores on both Noah and Elijah a few weeks ago. We thought they were sores from scratching from fleas. We took them to the Vet to have them checked because several more sores with fur loss appeared. I became worried that it might be ringworm. After a biopsy on both kittens and two weeks of growing the cultures I received a call from the Vet that the biopsies are positive for ringworm. 😩
Ringworm is not actually a worm, it's a fungal infection that causes the fur (on animals) to fall out in a ring shape. It's itchy and leaves a sore/scab. It can spread all over the animal if not treated.
It's very contagious to other animals AND to people. I believe I read that on people it will show up on the skin as a circular rash thats very itchy. I think it is caused by the same type of fungal infection that causes athletes foot and jock itch. I know....Lovely!!
Usually if one pet in the home has it, all pets in the home have it. I've never had a pet that had this type of infection. And I'm not very happy that Elijah and Noah have it!
Because Elijah and Noah are such young kittens the Vet had to have a compounding pharmacy make medication for them. For the next six weeks we will have to give them daily medication. Hopefully we will not become infected!

The bane of my photography-while-flying existence. CRJ-200s flown by ExpressJet are notorious for these.
I inspected her faceup and noticed that it has two scratches. The first one is tiny uneven line (about 1mm length) next to the left eyebrow, nearly invisible in the photo. It is only visible under certain angle. The second one has a round shape and is and is between the eyebrow and eye. I am not sure if it is a scratch or just a drop of sealant or glue. It shines in the certain angle (like in the photo), and in the different angle it looks darker than the space around it.
The doll came without face protector, just with a plastic bag on her head, so it is likely that the faceup was damaged during shipping
I am not sure what should I do :(
You can see where Carolyn's cheek is scratched from when the twig scratched her cornea. Cost us a co-pay or two :/
