Nearly every pub I go in has a different brand of scratchings. Quality varies and the general rule is the more branded and corporate looking the bag, the less satisfying the contents. From top left to right Bondy's - strangely satisfying, considering the relatively flashy packaging; Midland Snacks - poor; Bostin' Scratchuns- very good indeed; Mr Scratchings - poor; AF Davies Family & Catering Butchers - good; Gills - Good; Rikki Lloyd Family Butchers - very good; Peter Combes(just a sticker on a plain bag - a good sign) - very good; and finally, the holy grail of scratchings, the unmarked bag of "specials" - SUPERB!

White-throated Sparrows stay near the ground, scratching through leaves in search of food, often in flocks. You may see them low in bushes as well, particularly in spring when they eat fresh buds. White-throated Sparrows sing their distinctive songs frequently, even in winter.

These are all pieces of art I did in high school that were worthy enough to be put on my parents living room wall. The pictures were taken a long time ago, and the quality kinda sucks!! (Sorry dad) This was done on a scratch board, and seems to be the favorite among my friends and family, although this piece was way too easy for me, and I didn't enjoy the process... it only took a couple hours and I feel like it's boring!
