Last October 27, 2018 the preschool to grade 3 pupils of St. Francis Cainta celebrated Scouting Month with half a days’ worth of games and activities. The first part of the event is the presentation of their patrol yell where they express the virtues of becoming a good scout through coordinated marches, cheers, and dance moves - a routine they practiced for many days. The next part of the event is the Scout Olympics which is a series of fun games to test and develop the important characteristics of scouting such as teamwork, patience, awareness, and a strong character.

Parents were encouraged to let their children go by themselves with only their patrol mates and scout masters to encourage independence - an important characteristic needed to become successful in life.

All in all it was a lively event with the little scouts enjoying themselves while having fun learning the fundamental skills and values of scouting

I went location scouting the other day! I found a lot of great areas right outside my neighborhood. Like this one!

Scout Camp 2014 - Torquay, Torbay.

This photo was taken during the W5B conclave that took place on August 15 - 17, 2008 at Camp Tahosa near Ward, Co nestled in the Rocky Mountains west of Boulder, Co.

These scouts salute as the national colors are lowered for the day just prior to the evening meal. Scouts of all shapes, sizes, ages and backgrounds assemble to show their respect to our nation at this tradtional event. This photo strikes me in that the 'imperfectness' of the scouts makes it real, genuine.

Another University magazine adventure, not a big fan on the band, but it was a good night for photography. I was supposed to meet the reporter to do an interview with the band before the gig - train was canceled :((, gutted! I made the gig though and my photo pass was at the door.

It was quite a busy photo pit, 7 photographers in total - 5 canons and 2 nikons.

The Cub Scouts participated in the Scouting For Food service project. It was really amazing how generous people were. They didn't just give one or two cans of food, but 6 or more! It was awesome!

After the morning activities the SFAMSC scouting take their Skill-o-rama lectures. The Scouting Skill-o-rama is a skill building lecture which teaches Fundamental skills of scouting such as basic first aid, knot tying, and how to handle the Philippine flag. The scouts are also given the opportunity to practiced what they learn through activities and mini games throughout the afternoon.

Scouts Marksmanship Competition 2018: Catapult

The SFAMSC Scouting Jamboree start off with a lively and colorful parade to signal the start of a day long slew of fun and educational indoor and outdoor activities. These scouting activities designed to teach them the skills and important values such as teamwork, independence, and respect. Important skills that has many practical applications later in their adult lives.

The Bonfire Yell is one of the highlights of the annual Scouting Camporee. The boy scouts and girl scouts of SFAMSC show off their talents in dance, acting, and singing as they perform their cheers and yells exulting the values of scouting and challenging the other patrols to do better with friendly jabs that help spark healthy competition. To give their very best performance, each patrol dedicate many days to choreograph and practice their yells. This activity helps develop important life skills such as cooperation, teamwork, creativity, and the strength of character to be able to perform publicly. Audiences are usually surprised so see once timid and shy students shine and give it their all in the Bonfire Yell.
