Rock, Paper, Scissors
I used my trusty gingher scissors, a rock from Nova Scotia, and a background paper to create this scene for this weeks theme of Scissors.
I also included a new token I had embossed with my Year Word - Nameste. You can have one made on myintent.org.
My friend brought me this rock from Nova Scotia so many years ago. It is a perfectly smooth rock.
Gingher is located in Greensboro, NC. I sent them my scissors and they sharpened them and balanced them and made them like new. You can send them your scissors and they will send them back in a few weeks or so.
You can see some other scissor pics on my flickr site: www.flickr.com/photos/needlepointernc/
These left-handed scissors are stored in left drawer. (Other left-handed scissors are not, if other tags were any indication.)

''It's pretty a universal thing...it's the feeling of not being able to fit in or the feeling of wanting to touch something but not being able to because you'd hurt it, everything would crumble if you touch it.''
3/31 Tools of Her Trade. My mom passed away in January. I've been slowly sorting through her things for the past couple of months. She loved sewing. She made hundreds and hundres of amaing amazing quilts, many of which she gave away, and she made most of her own clothes. I have found so many pairs of her scissors. The J written on the orange handle at the right is for Judy.
