A magnificent wild and windy and also extremely wet day from my recent short visit to Sussex with Maura Astesano. It take s a good wind to blow me over , but this one was close. The Seven Sisters were shrouded in sea mist from the crashing waves. The energy was infectious and lifted the spirits despite my soaking wet legs. Milk and Scissors is by The Handsome Family.

Taking a walk with with some small scissors tucked in a pocket, I was ready to collect foliage in my neighborhood. There have been times I've wanted to snip off a bit of colorful weeds that were spotted along trails. It turned out to be my lucky day. On the return trip home, I spied tall Queen Anne's Lace plants (those with thick stems)...and the flowers were pink! Egads! I had no idea that my favorite weed came in pastel colors. What a treasure!
